help getting handicap van & fixing bathroom for handicap

As we always ask everyone, what city/county? Without knowing that hard for us to be specific. Maybe your local community action agency in Minnesota can provide guidance. So in meantime, since we do not know your area, find information on Minnesota assistance programs and agencies. So may help with installation of items you need, or at least know who you can call. We are kind of in the same boat (although my husband isnt paralized). He has diabetic neuropathy and is disabled because of it. We had a company come here to evaluated the bathroom and the fact that we have a split level house with stairs. They said we should get a lift chair installed; gave us a cheap bar, and a hand held shower head - both still in the boxes - for the bathroom. No instalation assistance. I cant install them, and of course we have no money to pay someone to do it because our bills are more than our SSDI income. Do you know of a company or resource in Minnesota that would review it again and help us with the installation of the at least the cheap bar and the hand held shower if not giving us more assistance with the stairs and bathroom?

We are in desperated need of help in getting a handicap van with a lift in it & also fixing our bathroom up for her.
