Re: Rent assistance
Good Evening,
I wanted to inquire about the rent assistance. I’m currently in need of this type of assistance and only have about a week left to find something or potentially lose my place of residence. Is there anything that you could recommend. I reside in Barberton Ohio 44203. I greatly appreciate any and all help!

Re: Questions on rent assistance
I am looking for rental assistance and I have questions on how to apply. I am one of the people who have yet to receive unemployment benefits from my state and I am behind on my rent. I have an eviction and I have 5 children and and my oldest had to move back home when she lost her job and is a high risk pregnancy. We have am eviction notice and court on the 24th of June. I have a past due of $308 and trying to find assistance, and have just started a new job. I am still waiting on unemployment to approve my claim and have questions on that on the rent help.

Re: Rent assistance for family with autistic child
Hi,
While there are some programs that may focus on the disabled, including people with autism (whether they are kids or adults), the best option is to look in all the rent assistance out there. As programs such as section 811 are limited. There are many other charities and other places that help help with rent and that includes for families with an autistic child. Look here for where to get rent assistance in your area.

Re: Rent assistance for family with autistic child
I really honestly need help with my rent and electricity. I have 2 children ages 6 & 12. My son is 6 and he is autistic. Are there rent programs for people with an autistic child?
My daughter was diagnosed with depression. My daughter' father was recently murdered. Then my son's father walked out on us. Leaving me to have to find another home for my kids and I. Now I'm doing everything alone. On top of it all, my son does homeschool so it is very important that I keep electricity going so that he can use the wifi to be online with his class. I really hope this isn't a hoax because it would be very cruel to make people feel a bit of relief thinking they have help, & then to find out it's a lie. That would be sad. So please try to put yourself in a single mother's shoes who thinks there is hope for rent for someone with an autistic child, but to be told that it was all a joke. Please don't do that to me. Please email me back anytime with some comforting news because I have been through so much with my kids. No it

Re: No rent assistance program in my city
Hi. My name is Gretchen. I have never done anything like this in my life, but I am desperate and need serious help right now with my rent and I can't find anything in my city. I am late and I don't have the money to pay it. This month anyway. I have never been late on any bills before. I spoke to my apartment complex and they said there was nothing they could do and they were going to start the eviction process.
I don't know what to do. I am recovering from COVID-19. I was out of work for almost 2 weeks without pay. I don't want to lose my home. I don't know what to do and I don't want to end up living in a how much shelter. I work at the Valley mission in Staunton Virginia which seems to have no rent assistance in this small city. If anyone can help me at all, I will pay it all back. I will sign all the necessary papers and I will pay every cent back. I just need help and I don't know what to do. Thank you so much and I hope there is some thing that can be done. Because I have never asked for assistance in my life and this is hard but I really need it. Thank you.

Re: No rent assistance program in my city
Hi Pete,
If your city is not listed, then maybe try a national charity or housing group. As some of the rent assistance programs are not city specific. We have many resources listed, and locate money to help with rent.
Of course funds will be limited.

Re: No rent assistance program in my city
Hello,
My name is Pete. I found your information on the Rental assistance website for my city.
I am in dire need of assistance with paying rent and I can't find help in my city. I have just landed a job I started last week. I am several months behind and unable to cover bills but most importantly rent. There are a total with me included 7 in my household. We reside in a 1 bedroom shack. We have tried to make it comfortable for the kids we being my wife and me. I received a letter from the landlord Friday to move on the 15th or else. I need some assistance with Rent. I can pay back a loan starting in January.
Please provide me with some guidance or a loan. None of us has had corona 19. I need at least 2 months to rebuild something financially in order to move out as the landlord has demanded. I just have no where to go and have four teenagers and one that is pregnant.
Can you help with our rent?

My name is Machema. I'm 27 year old and I have five children's ages from 8 to 1 years old. We are about to be homeless. The landlord wants to meet to get out as soon as possible. I have a disabled son who has been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. He can't be alone someone have to watch him. It's made it difficult for me to work based on his situation. He received social security benefits. That's the only income I'm receiving right now. Please helped me with housing for my autistic child.

If you do work, but just need cash for the first months rent, then maybe try a loan. It is always an option, but they come with risk and are always a last resort. Try some of the loans for emergency bills in Indianapolis. Maybe they can help you with that first months rent in a good school district.

I work so I will be able to pay the rent after that. I wanted to move my autistic daughter in a good neighborhood because we have lived in poverty stricken areas and unfortunately the public school system sucks for kids with special needs. So I took a chance to look for us an apartment in a better area where the opportunities will be better for her. I got approved for the apartment and we are due to move in June 1, 2017. We will appreciate anything, thanks for listening. Sent from my iPhone

Re: Rent Assistance
Need help on first months rent and security deposit assistance. We went to social services to try and get help until I go back to work and the place we are interested in was $150.00 over our budget but they went by my disability. I'm getting due to having a baby on December 8th. And they have been cutting my boyfriends hours so he is looking for a better paying job. I have 2 kids, and my boyfriend and I and our two house trained animals. One beagle and a cat so the place we were interested in the place for $750 because they allow animals. I don't know what to do.

Re: Rent Assistance
If there is anyway someone could please help? I am behind on my rent and need assistance for November due to Christmas & getting custody of my son along with a new place to live. The landlord says he's starting the 3 day eviction.
I'm so scared. My son starts school Thursday. His father passed away; my husband and my daughter. I lost my mind just regained custody back and I don't want to hurt him by losing my place. Please call, God bless.

Re: No rent assistance program in my city
Sadly probably should not have gotten pregnant until you were stable on your own, and had plenty of savings, a good steady job, etc. Your options will be limited if you have zero income. Anyhow, find some of the rent assistance programs in Reno that you can try...maybe you did not apply at them all?

Re: Rent assistance for family with autistic child
We're a homeless family with three small children, 12, 11 and 6 years old. (My 6 year old is autistic.) We've been living from hotel to hotel because we lost our rental home approximately 4 years ago due to financial hardship when my husband lost his truck driving job. And its been extremely hard trying to get back on our feet.
Now currently we have been told that we must leave this location because my autistic son gets to be very challenging and results in to screaming meltdowns day or night. Then my husband and I get into quarrels because of our stress issues. And its become very difficult in finding another hotel to move to because here in Anaheim the hotels can become very costly. We can barely pay for the one we live at now. We basically need help with referrals and resources you may have to guide us a little better in our hardship. God bless. Thank you.

No rent assistance program in my city
I live in the city of San Gabriel. There is no rental assistance program. What can I do? I'm behind more than half my rent and living without gas for hot water and cooking. Soon our electric will be cut off too. I do have a full time job but I get paid 10.50/hr. My son tries to find a job but only had one interview in the past year. Any advice?
Thank you for your time,

Re: I desperately need some rent assistance.
Hi, I am recent graduate of Virginia Union University with a degree in Criminal Justice. I am recently going through the hiring process with Henrico County Sheriff Office working in Corrections. I am currently working two jobs and barely able to support myself because my roommate decided to go back to Alabama and not pay his side of the rent anymore. I put in an intent to vacate which is coming up soon but because my rent is so late from the past three months they are planning to evict me out of my apartment by April 23rd if I do not pay a total of $925 by April 18th.
Though I have more than half of the money I do not have all of it and I was told to contact you because you may be able to assist me with this payment. I hate asking for people for money but I am down to my last hope and prayer, so if there is anything you can do to help me out it would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Rent assistance
That rent of $300/month is not excessive. That shows you are trying to live within your means. So maybe a charity or other agency can assist you. Call them for funds. Also be sure to try more temp agencies, as maybe another will have a job opening for you. Here are some resources to try, and find how to get rent help.
Sparks wrote:I got laid off a job through a temp agency and they haven’t found me another job and my boyfriend hasn’t been able to find a job and his cousin cant find a job. Our rent is 300 a month and we pay electric which is running around 100-140 a month.

Re: Questions on rent assistance
If you have questions, then ask the agencies in Cincinnati that offer rent help as they can answer them. We can't speak for any other group. So maybe those places can help you with your previously due rent.Or maybe they can advise you on your car issues or places for a repair.
Osborne wrote:There was a small church in Cincinatti Ohio that was going to give me $50.00 but that very same day my car's transmission froze leaving me with no transportation to go anywhere to fill out paper work for help. My rent is $247 and just goes to SMHA.
