Obviously we have posted some resources here (for those who gave an area), but anyone out of work needs a lot more than just rent help. They need a job, most likely help with other bills, food and so much more. While maybe the immediate need is rent money, the rest will follow. So use our main site to look for resources for struggling people.

Hello my name is Michelle and I was told to contact these places. I was given emails and phone numbers for to see if you help with emergency rent as I lost my job. I have paid my rent but the owners before this new company took over the apartment complex had stolen my rent money tell me it would go towards my rent for the new owners. Well I did not hear anything from the new owners the first month they had took over so in my mind I'm thinking I'm good my rent is paid and I can just continue to pay my rent to them straight forward since the other people are no longer here. Well the following month I was told my rent was not paid and I owe them.
I am behind $1900. I am in need of $1000 to pay them to get them to work with me on a payment plan to get caught back up. I only have a few days to come up with the money or I will be evicted and since I have no income from no job it is hard. I am a single mother of 4 kids. I am on disability and it does not cover anything anymore with prices rising non stop. I am so scared to be evicted and on the streets with literally no where to go. I have no family to help me or even take us in or anything. My mother passed away a few months back and it was all on my to get her the proper burial and cremation and all.
It's been very hard and depressing trying to make ends meet when out of work and every time I turn around. I always get knocked back down. I'm trying so hard to get things paid and be on top of everything it is truly getting harder and harder each and every day. I'm contacting a few places to see if there is any help available. I was turned down by general relief and salvation army and like 8 other places there is just no funds available for the help.
I was told to contact these churches and see what can be helped with. I'm so lost and depressed and feeling so defeated anymore. I feel so worthless and like a horrible mother because I am falling so far behind on rent and I can not let me kids be homeless because of selfies individuals not caring and just stealing from us that are truly struggling just to make it day by day. I have even let the landlord know what had happened and they pretty much said oh well I need to still pay them by this Tuesday or I will be evicted. If you have any suggestions or ideas of where I can turn to get help.

El Dorado is a small community. The programs that can help are limited. There is a Community Service office as well as Salvation Army center. Both may assist. The job market there is also small, so maybe a service job can help you get by until you find something more long term. I am currently about 3 months behind on rent. I fell at work on February 1, and been off since, February 3, 2016. I hurt my neck, thoraic, lumbar and tailbone. The doctor released me from care on March 22. I just got call back from job where I got hurt from. They called me back to work on April December 12 2016. Part time, 20 hours. I am currently facing eviction. We have already received an eviction notice and have gone to court to attempt to fight the eviction. We lost our case at court but our landlord is willing to allow us to stay in our home as long as we can pay our past due rent. I need to find out how I can get emergency rental assistance to help pay our past due rent. My husband is currently employed and we are paying our landlord as much as possible from each paycheck. I am in need of emergency assistance to help with my rent for the month of October. I lost my job in April and had enough money saved to pay for may rent and utilities. I live in Louisville Kentucky and just recently found another job at the end of may and had to play catch up on my other bills. So I am short on my October rent. My landlord gave me a five day notice and she send me an email letting me know she's filling the eviction paperwork this week that my lease is done as of July 30. I have a 9 year old who's disabled. I'm a single parent. I don’t receive any help from the dad. I owe my Landlord $925. I have no where else to go she said that as long as I pay her what I owe her I can stay. I need assistance with paying my security deposit or the first months rent. I just started working two weeks ago and found a place to stay for me and my son since we have been going from place to place and staying. I have 200 dollars to put towards the security deposit just need the other 400 dollars. The Stockton and San Joaquin County area do have a number of government and non-profit rent programs, and the disabled are usually given priority. Those agencies can be found here, at rent assistance San Joaquin. Always be careful when dealing with an advocate or a private company, and read the fine print of any contracts. Some may charge you money. Most areas of the country also offer special assistance programs for people with HIV and/or AIDs too, including rent help, housing, and medications. So we think look into those too, and usually go by name of HOWPA.

Then I applied for disability but I was denied, so I found this advocate association named ALLSUP who helps people with disabilities to get social security, they had filed my case again and appeal to the social security, so far I am still waiting for my case to be approve. I been paying my leaving with some savings money I have, but at this point those saving are gone, I just have enough to pay one last month of rent and I won’t have for more, also I don’t have money to pay my utilities bills, so please I am asking for help and assistance to pay my rent and bill, just temporally till my disability is approve, I will really appreciate all the help I can get on this hardship time I am going thru.

The San Diego rent assistance programs and agencies are located here. Organizations like the Housing Authority of the County of San Diego offers the Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Re-housing, and also places like South Bay Community Services (619) 420-3620. Some can help with rent, and also more than likely direct you to places for help with those other bills and expenses you have. They can tell you if you qualify for low income status or not.

There are many places to call in the Wilmington NC area for rent help. Find New Hanover County assistance programs, agencies, and other places to call. Non-profits like the New Hanover County Salvation Army (dial 910-762-2070) as well as the The A.M.E.Z. Housing Community Development Corporation (phone (910) 815-3826) are just a couple of the agencies to call for housing.

Where in Wilmington, NC can i get help with my rent. I tried Social Services but since i dont have a small child or health problem they dont think i need help. I lost my job a month ago and im lookimg really hard but rent is coming up and i dont know what to do.

How are you paying student loans if have no income. You do not want to default on that as can ruin your credit, hurt you when trying to get loans in future, etc. For the rent, try calling local Salvation Army or other agencies like Catholic Charities. For the student loans, try an income based repayment plan, which basically sets the amount you need to repay based on your total income. So if zero income and out of job, this option may provide you more flexibility and options. I hope this helps for the feedback you requested.
