Hi,
To be clear, we are not the Salvation Army. So not sure you landed in the right place, but anyway since Ruth’s House already told you they work with the Salvation Army, try the Washington Salvation Army at 252-946-2523. Be sure to tell them you found a place you can afford but need help getting in with the first/last month rent, utilities and maybe clothes for the kids. Also try out Beaufo County assistance page which as charities that may help and try the Beaufort County DSS at 252-975-5500 and ask if they have any emergency help. Since you said you can handle the monthly bills once you're in, make sure they know that too, as maybe that helps when they look at your situation.

I am looking into getting some financial help with getting a place with my three kids. I found a house affordable the only downfall is we do not have the first and last month’s rent funds plus turning everything on. Yet once we get in, we can afford our monthly bills. I also am looking forward to getting help with clothes for my children which I also know the Salvation Army is good at. I recently had to resign from my job to take care of my kids. I do not like having to ask for help. Yet currently my family needs it. Thank you for your time and help!
