San Bernardino resident needing help with bills

Post by Thee Ripper »

Hi Everyone (please read this and let me know if you can help us, we beg someone out there cares enough to enforce if not the law, the morals on human decency)
My name is Tracie and I'm still waiting to hear back from (San Bernardino Special Districts Water & Sanitation) regarding my request for financial assistance or a low-income program to help relieve some stress off the ridiculously high cost of unaffordable water utility bills...
I previously informed them my fiancé was laid off work and I've been relieved of my duties at work due to mental illness disabilities...our bill for 2 months is $164.00, (including a penalty because I can’t afford it and still have not received a response from the water co.) the bill is outrageous when only $54 of it is water usage and $110 is their fee...We can’t pay this bill at the same time as pay our rent for our home.
In addition to the high bill taking from our rent money, the water usage coming off the line that runs to my house, gives us very little pressure, but they won't fix it, even though it's been approved, and they have already received the funding to make the improvements, so I'm paying them $110 fee to not do their job to make improvements.
Here's a copy of my bill so everyone can see how ridiculous it is that we pay this much in fees for very little water usage, but if they fixed the waterline I would only have to use about 1/2 the amount of water and I'd being conserving water at the same time.
So, they are sitting on government funds for improvements, NOT conserving water, charging erroneous amounts in fees to its customers, they don't respond to inquiries, and they are taking away my basic human right to have access to safe clean water.
How do you get away with this when every person cc'd in this email is most likely appalled by you lack actions?
