Yaslin, if you've already been denied several times, I'd ask each program for the exact reason in writing if possible. Sometimes it's something simple like a documentation issue, income calculation, or property eligibility problem.
Since you're in Deerfield Beach, you may want to contact Broward County's Housing Finance Division directly and ask if there are county-wide rental assistance programs that don't depend on city boundaries. Also check with Broward County Human Services at (954) 357-6385, since they sometimes have emergency assistance options separate from city programs.

Don't give up. You've already done a lot of the hard work by gathering documentation and applying. Sometimes finding the right program is the biggest hurdle.

Hi, my name is Yaslin, and I am a resident of the City of Deerfield Beach, Florida.
The reason for my communication would be due to my pending balance in rent. I have applied.
(3) times with the City of Deerfield and have been rejected for the same reason. Back in May 1 (2026) I applied to the City of Pompano Bch as well. but was told that the "Lot “of property was not within the City Pompano Bch. I have detailed evidence of all my hard work, thoughtful and consuming effort to end up back at square one. I am very confused about the requirements for some of these programs. I would like to ask for any information that could be useful with my matter. I hope to hear back at your convenience.

We have a list of various housing options, charities and programs for Broward County. While deposit help is not common, it may be an option. Also, check with the DOT as maybe they can help you relocate from Tampa or have ideas. As you would think the state/federal agency would. My family (of 4) and I are seeking assistance with just security deposit on a place. I just recently relocated from Tampa to Ft Lauderdale and am currently working for the Dep't of Transportation. I only need the funds to pay for the deposit and I'll handle the rent.
My case isn't the typical as I was living with a family member (paying rent) when the house we supposed was hers was taken away from her... Which left is staying with a friend. Within 2 weeks we found a place, paid our deposits and signed a lease... But the property manager didn't clean and fix any damages to the place prior to our move date... So we lost the $2,100 we paid her. We just need the deposit to move into some place and we'll have the rest.
Any suggestion of places to help in Broward County?

I have already went through Family Success in Broward County; however, I was informed that the current waiting period is up to two months, which unfortunately places me at risk of eviction before any support can be provided.
