Looking for free medical in Dallas

So sorry about your friend. They said a 2 year wait for Medicare? That is not right....no idea why they said that or what they are doing. Medicare applications can be processed within days - if not weeks at the longest. Regardless, not sure if a community clinic will cover that type of Gallbladder surgery, but here is a list of them in the Dallas area.

Hi,
My friend lives in Dallas county. She is currently covered by Medicaid through her father who has retired so they will no longer be able to cover her as she will be transferring to Medicare which is a 2 year wait. She will no longer be able to be covered by Medicaid during this time but she needs surgery now. Her Medicaid may be up already as she isn't sure when it ended. She was taken to the hospital to find that her Gallbladder needs to be removed as soon as possible and I'm am trying to find her some help with assistance maybe from a clinic or free place? She is a single mom out of a job at the moment and cannot pay for the cost of the removal. Would you know of anyone that would help her pay the cost of the surgery? Thank you very much!
