Re: Needing a furnace for free in NY State

Hello I`m writing to you today. I am Disabled since 03/2015, I am not able to work and I only get $800.00 a month to live on. The old house I bought with my Social security disability fund, I received paid for it so I would have a place to live, and not have to pay rent. Well my furnace won`t work, I turn it on the at the turmostat and nothing happens. So I got out my old oil space heater, and I`ve been using that, I know when the temperature outside gets below 30 when winter heats in a few months the space heater wont be very good to keep me and my two dogs warm. So I`m writing to you with the hope, that you will be able to help me. I am 60 now and this is a lot harder on me than I thought so any help you can offer, or anyone you can point me towards that can help would be great, if your not able to help. Again I thank you for your time and effort.

Needing a furnace for free in NY State

Post by Gomez »

My mother lives at Forestville New York in Chautauqua County.  Her name is Barbara and she us a senior on disability.  Her house is dropping in heat rapidly, furnace is set at 72 but the house is at 60.  It appears to have stopped working appears we do not know what to do and she has no money to fix it or pay for HVAC.  Their appearance also some wires to the grating system that came undone upstairs a few weeks ago and my son tried to repair them, but the heat has not worked up there since then.  She is on a very limited budget and I need to find immediate help for her to fix the furnace or get a new one.  Please let me know if any help immediate out there.  Thank you
