Good afternoon, I am contacting you in reference to food stamp assistance. We are 4 to 5 months behind on bills but we were late and now our SNAP ran out. My creditors refused to except funds it so the money has been compiling and we are just seeking assistance to get food and buy my kids a Subway Sandwich for a treat. Hi Tameika, California does have the CalFresh Restaurant Meals Program, which generally means you can use a place like Subway to get a hot or cold meal - including a sandwich or sub! But you need to ask the place under you if they participate and will take your EBT cards or CalFresh food stamps. If they do, sounds like an advantage to living over one! Hello, my name is Tameika and I am a single mother of a son. Not too long I had to leave a domestic abusive relationship and now I struggle with my bills and food, but we live near a Subway sandwich shop. My son and I left the apartment we shared with the abuser as he stated he would not leave and we needed to leave so we ended up here, living above a Subway in a 1 bedroom.
I ended up filing and restraining order. All the bills were split but this move has put me in more of a bind considering my hours have been decreased at my job. I get CalFresh food stamps and have an EBT card. I wanted to see about all available resources that I can take advantage of in my current city of San Diego, CA and want to know if I can get a sandwich or food at the Subway fast food restaurant. I would really appreciate any assistance that you can provide.
