I have been searching for help for a client of mine who lives in Cayce, SC that has a loan backed by Fannie Mae and needs home repairs desperately, but can't afford them. I have scrolled through countless agencies offering grants, but my client is barely hanging on financially, but needs immediate help. His electrical panel box is a tremendous fire hazard and no company, nor Fannie Mae, will put insurance on the home because of the box.
His roof is also needing to be replaced but he does not have any money to do that. He inherited this house from his later Mother, but has no funds and we are trying to find an agency or organization/group that would be willing and able to immediately replace the electrical box and possibly fix his roof.

Re: Trouble with home repairs on Fannie Mae home
Fannie Mae and "Freddie" both offer a serious of housing programs. Now we are not sure if they address repairs...but ask. The most they can say is no. Or try a community action agency. Sometimes they offer low interest loans for repairs and/or roofs. So try them, and find details here.
