Teacher looking for classroom supply help in Chicago

Thank you for trying to educate kids and your service. Sadly teachers do not have the same about of resources when it comes to getting "free supplies", and Chicago is no different. With the government (national and local) not funding schools or teachers properly (in particular GOP / Trump when in office) it makes it tough. But there are free school supply programs in the city of Chicago, and find them here. We hope some will help teachers too.

Hello,
I'm a teacher in Chicago, IL, and need assistance with getting classroom supplies. Please provide resources that I can look into for financial assistance. 311 is unable to help. They gave me a couple places that do not give supplies to teachers for some reason only students. Seems odd to me but these places want teachers to pay for what they need or the school district. However I have no money because teachers are unemployed during the summer months.
