Since your ex-was just sent to jail, does social services or the police have any options for you to get rent help? Or somewhere safe to stay with your kids. As if you are not fully working (only a few hours per week) no charity will offer funds as you need a plan to pay future costs. Hi, I live in Honolulu, Hawaii and need rent assistance by August 5th if possible before a late fee sets in. I know it's short notice and lots of paperwork probably but my boyfriend I live with and father of 2 of my kids (1 unborn) was just sent to prison this past week for molesting my other daughter from another father.
He was the main provider as I only clean houses a few hours a week and stay home with the kids not in school the other days. Now I am desperate to find help because the DHS welfare office can take almost a month to receive financial aid.
I have so many appointments all around Honolulu regarding the case against him, work and other appointments but really need to find out who can help me with the rent in time...please have someone contact me that can help speed up the process if possible, so I can pay my rent on time.
