Hi Amanda,
Your best option may be a clinic. As no places will "hand you" money for the dental, but a clinic or dental health center in MN may have volunteers and a free service for the work you need. Get the details here. https://www.needhelppayingbills.com/htm ... and_c.html

Who helps paying for dental care in Minnesota?

Post by Foreigner »

Good afternoon,
I live in Otter Tail County, Minnesota. I am in need of financial help to complete dental work. I am currently on BluePlus and have been visiting AppleTree Dent here in Fergus Falls. I have one tooth that is severely decayed and needs to be extracted. The local office has tried twice to extract the tooth, only to discover that the Novocain was not effective in numbing that tooth. I have been referred to an oral surgeon in Alexandra, MN to complete the extract under general anesthesia, however my insurance does not cover the cost of the anesthesia. I was told that $456 would be due the day of the procedure.
I am a single parent in my final semester of my BSW program, currently working 40 hours per week at an unpaid internship. This expense is certainly a barrier to being able to complete this necessary dental work. I've been dealing with this toothache for a month and have been on two rounds of antibiotics to kill infection.
Are there any funds available to help with this cost of dental treatment? And if so, do I need to fill out an application anywhere in Minnesota?
Thank you for your time,
Amanda
