What did Auto Care ministries say, as that is one of the organizations that we say can help from time to time. Of course they have limited resources, and the demand is great, but they may be an option. Some other charities and non-profits to call for auto care, cars, and other transportation assistance can be found here. http://needhelppayingbills.com/html/cha ... bills.html

Here are some agencies to call in Mercer County Pennsylvania. Ask if they know of any local car repair programs. Maybe stop by your local auto shops too and ask, call church, etc. http://needhelppayingbills.com/html/mer ... progr.html
Other ideas, including some national organizations for free car repairs are included here at this link. Places like Auto Repair Good Guys Foundation. While many are local, some may cover the country, or they may have ideas for you.

Fixing a van or car is not as easy to get help for, but there may be some programs. Call your local church, community action agency, and local Salvation Army too. Some other programs and options can be found here using this link. Maybe even look into a new car program such as Ways to Work while you look for repairs for your van. http://needhelppayingbills.com/html/cha ... #transport

We do have information on some nation charities that may be able to help fix a car. Find our link to charities. Towards the top of page there is a hyperlink to car programs. It can include low income loans to buy or fix cars, free cars from places like 1800 Charity Cars, or ways to get volunteers who may be able to repair it for you. We also know that many churches are great point of contacts for things like car repairs, so maybe call your local church or parish, or whatever your religious affiliation is.

I have 2 small teaching jobs 25-32 miles away, and both of these could probably be developed into one full-time job if I can get transportation to both. I current pay for rides or take the limited bus service to my first store. I accepted a second store a bit further away, too. My UIA ran out last month. If I can get my car fixed, or another set of cheap wheels, I think I can become fully employed again instead of partially employed. Can you point me in any helpful directions? Forget about a loan, as my credit is terrible and full of collection actions.

While I hate to say it, car repairs are more difficult to get help with. But we will give you some information and guidance, and maybe it will help. Call your local community action agency or non-profits in Michigan. Use this link for help in Michigan, and scroll midway down the page and select your county.
This resource will also bring you some generic information on where to get a used car from (sometimes for free) or maybe free automobile repairs too. Sometimes a car is offered if someone needs it work work. Free cars and repairs

Car repairs are not as common. I think a few things or potential solutions. One is call some churches in your area and ask if they are aware of garages or mechanics who do repairs on a volunteer basis. Another is call local community action agency. Ask same questions. In addition, there may be a couple nation programs to look into for car repairs. Click here for programs such as the The Car Ministry Program 703-278-9299 as well as Auto Repair Good Guys Foundation 866-747-1331

Well fixing cars is not a common assistance programs out there. Maybe the best palce to call is your local community action agency. So if there is a program, it is usually for fixing a car for a work or employment related issue, which sounds like your situation. So get more information on car repairs for free, some tips and tricks, and some general advice and support. Salvation Army, Catholic Charities, community action agency, and a few other places are probably the best places to call. Even try 1800 charity cars.
