Short Term Rent Assistance needed for couple in Indianapolis

Hi my name is Rhonda and my husband’s name is Eric we're trying to find out how to get help for one-time rent payment. We fell into a hard spot and need help with the rent just once and don't know where else to go in Indiana or who else to turn. We live in Indianapolis Indiana. Need help first time needing help with rent got an eviction notice if not paid by the 15th. My birthday is tomorrow I tried family friends no one is willing to help my husband works but we live paycheck to paycheck and are struggling. We just need help this one time. Please if you can’t help point us in the right direction thank you for your time

I am writing this in hopes of getting some more information for a friend of mine. He and his wife have been struggling for some time now. Their house was reposessed and both of them have been in and out of jobs. He is currently working and she is starting a new job next week. He is also in poor health and undergoing lots of testing. The problem is that her first check will not come for about a month. They need money to pay their current rent and their credit is too bad to borrow money. Does anyone know of any program in the Indianapolis, IN area that could help this couple make just one rental payment? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. The need is VERY URGENT!
