Re: Credit card bill / error

Post by Admin - Jon McNamara »

Well, good news is that credit card companies like Chase are more than willing to work with people. They want to offer options and payment plans and don't want people to go bankrupt. As if someone goes bankrupt they are hurt as well. Here is a listing of programs. http://www.needhelppayingbills.com/html ... _help.html
Chase also has what are known as hardship programs. This is when they waive fees, reduce debts, interest rates, or provide other forms of aid. Chase is known to negotiate and work with debtors. The Chase link on hardship programs, and examples of savings, can be found here. Call the customer service number and start the process.

Credit card bills

Post by Preetip »

Why can the government bail out banks and people who live beyond their means, but someone like me who had always paid their credit card bills, expenses, and mortgage on time in the past does not get a bailout. Yes, my income has gone down from the bad economy, but I have always paid my bills and debts on time in the past. Now, because I did not live beyond my means and did not qualify for a bailout, now I am struggling with paying my credit card debts and may even need to file for bankruptcy. It is just not fair. I owe about 10K on my Visa, and several thousand in medical bills. I also have some store credit cards as they just keep giving me discounts when I shop. What can I do? What type of credit card bailout can I qualify fore?

Agree. So what is your question/issue? If you know that then you must be knowledgaable.

Not really. Actually less people are using credit cards these days and instead are using debit cards. The biggest advantage to a credit card is to build credit history, and reward card. But if you use a card you need to be disciplined about paying it off every month.

Here is a resource that you can use to find a host of programs that can help you get out of debt. http://www.needhelppayingbills.com/html ... _debt.html

Overdue credit card bills from college

Post by lizatall »

My college student son has run up about $10,000 in credit card debt, and the paying it back and the monthly credit card statements and bills are too much for me. Can I claim to the credit card company that I do not have to pay it back, or what else can I do?

What is the best way to eliminate my debts and credit card debts? I think the credit card companies, like bank of america, will get rid of more than 50% of my debt. Just need to know how.

first of all, I would tear up the credit card so you never use it again. hen pay it off. Consolidate it to a zero % interest rate card with a low balance transfer fee, then make sure you pay that card off before the rate increases. That is a trick I used to get rid of credit card debt.

Tips to pay off credit card debt

Post by Admin - Jon McNamara »

Here are several tips.
-You need to pay off credit card debt and bills with the highest interest rate first.
-Pay off more than the minimum on the bills to help remove the credit card debt as quickly as possible.
-Consolidate the credit cards onto a car with a lower interest rate

Sadly, this is becoming very common. Try this link back to the main site.

You should try to consolidate your debt, eliminate debt, or talk to credit counselors. Many of them are free and will only charge you if they save you money on your debt or bills.

Rhonda,
I think credit cards may be the easiest to get help. You can elimiante debt, consolidate, or one simple trick I know is to get a zero % card, and transfer your credit card balance to it. And before the rate goes up, open a new zero % card, and transfer the credit card balance again. Keep repeating the cycle until you get it paid off. This site has many programs, links to best 0% credit cards, ways to consolidate, and more.
