Please help with electric bill

I am a single dad with 2 boys at home. I can't find a job that I qualify for, so we are on Medicaid. I drive truck and don't have endorsements on my CDL for hazmat or doubles. Jobs I qualify for without them are beyond my physical abilities.
I've tried 2 jobs. Worked one for 4 days and couldn't handle it and the other I only lasted a day. And my back still hurts. My electric bill is closing in on $600 and my rent is behind 2 months as of today, April 4, 2017. I did get on food assistance but need to find work to pay my electricity.

I'm 23 years old. I had knee surgery back in February of 2016 and because of that since then my knee hasn't been the same. I cannot stand walk or run for any amount of time without discomfort and because I don't have a job I wasn't able to continue going to physical therapy or doctors’ appointments because of co-pays that I did not have.
I have been granted food stamps and I need financial assistance for electric bills.

My electric is about to be shut off, and I cannot pay the minimum amount to keep it from being shut off. Everything in my house runs off of electric including heat. Well, if you are a mother of 4 with no source of income, electric bills are the last of your problem. Food stamps can't feed an entire family. You need a job, income, financial help, and much more. For short term relief for your electricity, find electric bill help.

Is your 22 year old daughter working? Why can't she contribute to the $800 bill. Also, how is it possible to run up the utilities that much in Virginia? That is a low of money. You need to work heard, look into payment plans, and more. So locate and read more utility bill help in Virginia.

I am looking for help in paying my electric bill every month. I am on Medicare and Medicaid. I moved from Michigan after my marriage of 30 years and being together for 34 years. I had to leave Michigan to try and restart my life over and be around my family. I am on disability thru Medicare and get help with food and medical only thru Medicaid.
I finally found an apartment but it’s all electric where I am living at. My electric is paid in full right now but it doesn't leave me much money to get thru the month to buy essentials I need and to do my laundry here or put gas in my car. I just recently underwent low back major surgery using Medicaid and still have a nurse and physical therapist that comes in three days out of the week. I am writing to you on behalf of my daughter and son-in-law. They have two children ages ten and fourteen - the ten year old was born with autism. They have had a very bad financial year and as of this moment are living with no electricity due to the non payment of their electric bill.
My son - in- law has gone down to his local community action program for help but was told that they go by a case by case routine so he may have to wait a long while until they can help. They owe a very big bill and are trying to pay as much as they can on it but with rent and other utilities they can only pay a minimal amount. They have asked about a payment plan but the electric company turned them down for one. I am not financially able to help much due to illness and hate to see my grandchildren living without electricity any longer. I am writing to ask you if you know of any other programs that you may know of to maybe help them out sooner. I thought that our electric company is supposed to help by making a payment program for their customers. My daughter doesn't know what to do and is desperate for help. We live in Rhode Island. I am here to ask a question. I am a DC resident that is looking for assistance with my electric cooling fees. I live in a apartment complex that is all my utilities is included in my rent. I also hold an section 8 voucher. I am currently employed part-time. And due to my pay scale I am unable to provide any extra fund.
I basically live from pay check to pay check, to pay my rent on a timely manner. My landlord is requesting the tenants to pay cooling fees, which is $35.00 per air condition unit. I have 3 air conditioners one in my living room and each one in my and my child room. We are both asthmatic, I do have some health issues. If there its any way that we can go without air conditions in our units without causing any harm to our health we can.
I am asking where can I get assistance to pay my cooling fee from May to September with the total of $520.00. You can verity that information from my rental office. Please direct me to assistance if possible. Thank you.

Why does it cost $245 per month for a utility bills? Not only is that ridiculously high, but that is even more true in Kentucky. Service should be much cheaper down there, and look into payment plans and other solutions too. Also, if you are not happy with living in Kentucky, we suggest you leave. No one forces and person to live anywhere. But as far as the energy bills go, find programs for utility bills in Kentucky.

if you have a $1500 bill and no stable income coming in, sorry to say you will not have many options. How did you ever get to the point of having such an expensive bill? I have fallen about 6 months behind on my rent. I do hair and have run a salon out of my home for almost 4 years and I have one child. For three years I had a lady that rented a hair station from me but she retired and I don't have a full clientele so I am looking for a job elsewhere.

If you are just waiting for your first pay check, then your utility company will almost always wait. Just ask for a payment plan. It will be shocking for an electric company to shut off your power if you can pay the bill in a matter of weeks or days. So something sounds unusual with that request. I am currently unemployed and taking care of my 4 months old baby. My boyfriend has been very slow during these cold months due to the type of work he does. In 2012 I was held responsible for a utility bill that was to be paid by someone else and I am struggling to make my payment protection payment every month.
