I have just been issued a 5 day notice to pay all monies due to management agency. I may have as many as 10 days to pay or vacate the premises. I have two children and nowhere to go. I believe Augusta GA is in Richmond County Georgia. If it is, try the Central Savannah River Area Economic Opportunity Authority, Inc. (CSRA).
They have Neighborhood Service Centers (NSCs) which will provide emergency assistance to meet the needs of low (and maybe sometimes "moderate") income individuals and families that live in the area, include provide them with food, eviction prevention, utility assistance, rent and housing aid, landlord mediation, personal care items. hello thur im a 29 male thats is finally on my own n belived i didnt relized how hard it is to pay bills. its like i get ssi n thats 694 a month my rent is 450 than my lights is 150 so bascially all im left with for the whole month is 94 dollars than thats use on gas when eva i have to go sum where. i already went to the housing department here in augusta ga they always say the list is close its like it been close fo some years. i mean i have known sum people that lived off of the govenment and they dont really need the help n i was like wow why when sum really needs the assistance thur be the one getting turn down so now its like im struggling paying bills and belived it or not i really dont wan to go back home to MOMS . so if any one out thur no whur i can go get sum extra funds to pay my rent or who can i talk to to get on the housing lict ty

Try the Northampton County Housing Authority: Details on the program include Located in the Oliver C. Border House, 15 South Wood Street, Nazareth, Pa 18064, (610-759-8488), the Northampton County Housing Authority operates the above-named mid-rise and two (2) mid-rises, (office: 610-759-8145), in the Borough of Bath known as Howard Jones Manor I, and a Section 8 Rental Assistance Program for residents of Northampton county who live outside the cities of Bethlehem and Easton. Rentals are based on 30% of individual/family income.

Also, contact your local community action agency. They may be able to offer you the Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing Program (HPRP), which is funded by the federal government stimulus program.

I have been laid off from work, and I am behind on my rent.
All my other bills are getting paid so nothing gets shut off. The funny thing is,I do not drink or do drugs , and yet I can not seem to get out of dept.
I have an grate wife,a 13 year old boy,and a 3 year old granddaughter who lives with us most of the week.
I am afraid of getting evicted.
I have tried to get construction jobs but no one is hiring.
I am a carpenter and an artist. I live in Bangor P.A. If anyone can help I would GREATLY appreciate it!

Try the Washington Tenant Based Rental Assistance (TBRA). This Washington state Rental Assistance Program provides low and moderate income and struggling households with security and utility deposits, and will help them with paying up to 12 months of rent. I need rent help. My name is Jamie, i live in New Hope,MN. I took custody of my 2 teenage boys a little over 1 year ago. Since then, life has been a steady downhill spiral. I lost my job after a few months and it took a couple of months to find another. My vehicles are breaking down. Right now i'm currently temporarily unemployed. I'm behind on rent and my landlord is getting impatient. Yesterday (Thanksgiving Day) I came home to an eviction notice. The county won't help me because i'm further than 2 months behind. I'm hopefully going back to work next week, and i just was approved for food assistance through the county which will help dramatically, but i need help getting caught up. I'm digging into every resource I can find and coming up with alot of "No's and Sorries". Can someone please help me? I can't let my kids go back to their mother!! She doesn't care for them and hasn't had any contact with them since I've taken them. She decided to start over and is now pregnant with another child. Both my boys are extremely hurt by this and don't want anything to do with her.Please help!!

I have been married 30 years, wife, mother and had odd jobs here and there August 3rd changed our entire life, my husband has a brain injury and i have a add son still in school, My daughter can not word because of a disorder that is 2% in the USA. I have never had a job that i can jump back in and make money that can handle the bills and rent and his medicine and everything else. I am 48 and with the economy and lack of skill it looks bleek. I need help and i will work cause i can learn fast at most things. I need help to get through the holidays and if anyone knows of any job that i can do which i think i can do alot and learn alot i am willing to do so, i have no other choice it's my family.

Here is info on eviction prevention programs. They work, and can help you stay in your housing. Most states offer this type of aid, and the stimulus program has increased the amount of aid as well.

I am a mother of 2 beautiful children, I am in the process of a divorce, I am trying to make ends meet but this month was extremely hard because my ex-husband was not paying the bills that he said he would... and this past thursday, my electricity was turned off and instead of paying rent I had to pay $600 to the electric company. Much of the money is distributed thru charities like the United Way, Salvation Army, Community Action Agencies, and others.
