Please help me pay my power bill

Hello my name is Amber and I lost my job last month. My water is shut off and my power is shut off and if I don’t have any money. I’m going to get kicked out soon. I don’t know what to do , I just got a job driving school bus but it’s going to be to late to pay the power bills by the time I get paid and save money. Any help or telling me where to go is much appreciated. I’m so stressed out I don’t know how this could happen to me.

My husband is 51 years old, lost his job 2 years ago and is working temporary jobs. Due to the recent bad weathers, he only got paid 2 days last week and we need help with the power bills. I am working full-time, but we are in bankruptcy and are struggling to keep those payments up plus the house payment. All we really need right now is $540 to keep our power on. We are at a disconnect status and have until February 11th. I can make some payments toward that balance, but have food and other bills to pay as well.

All utility programs, whether from the government, a utility company or a non-profit/charity are local in nature. They are different based on state and even town. But don't worry, find a list of all utility help near you in your area.

Is there anyway to help my family?
I am in desperate need of assistance with my Power bill in the amount of $380.62 before April 20th or its going to be turned off, and since I missed the date my power has been shut off. A lot of the charity organizations I have called are out of funds.
My husband has yet to be able to work and is going to have to file for disability…. If his headache didn’t cause him to pass out he would be ok to get a job, but I’ve come home from work and found him passed out in the floor, he’s had 4 concussions from falling and hitting his head and has been told by many doctors if he has another one it could kill him…… He already is suffering with severe memory loss…..
My 13 year old daughter is having some severe anxiety due to family issues with her father my ex husband and i cant leave her alone for a long period of time, even more so now that are power has been shut off….. We didn’t even get to have Christmas this year….

Information on where and how to apply for some help with Power Bill. I just moved here at my Godmothers with my 2 children ages 10-12 and she is almost 70 raising a 5 year and 2 year old whom the 5 year old she has custody and 2 year old is Her son's child that she watches for him. She is on a fixed income and our power bill was high she said.
She asked for a 10 day extension and with Me Homeschooling  my 12 year old son, she has helped me more than I know she could. I have applied and was approved for my EBT benefits and that is how I feed me and my 2 babies. I am out of money and need help and the bills continue in like power. I am single father and in the last 6 months my world has been turned upside down. It seems that even though I am working everyday trying to keep things together for my kids and family I seem to be falling more and more behind. I am asking for assistance in helping with my power bill.
I’ve never asked or used assistance before now and am not sure how to go about it. If those amounts for your power bill are accurate, that means it is costing you $300 per month! That is outrageous for someone seeking assistance. No electric bill should be that high, unless you live in a mansion. So it appears as if you are wasting power and not living a frugal lifestyle. So while you can try to apply for power and electric bill help, good luck getting an agency to assist you.

I live in New jersey I need help paying on my electric and gas bills. I applied last year for LIHEAP from community action but I did not qualify because my income went over. Mind you I work everyday and try put money on both bills.

The electric and gas are still high. I don't want my electric and gas to be shut off right now doing the winter months. I need help bad with electric and gas. I have Atlantic city electric and south Jersey gas.

Is there any program that my apply something once on my electric and gas to help. Does someone who works but need a little extra help get it. Can someone send me an application or place that can help me now. Please thank you.

I have been trying to find some kind of emergency assistance with helping me pay my utility bill. I came across your website and saw the different programs for assistance. Unfortunately, when I called or even did applications with my local Neighborhood Service Center, I was told that my application would not be processed (after 7 days after I did the application), because there are no longer funds. The day I did the application, I told them that my disconnection day was coming up real close and I did not know about the assistance that they offered. I am not one that gets the assistance so regular that I know how the system works. Well my lights were scheduled to be disconnected on the 26th of May and I find out on the 28th that they could not help me....I filled out the application on the 22nd! I would have done more research if I wasn't assured that my bill, a majority of it, would be paid. Now I am a single mother of a 4 year old and a 2 year old, I work part time and school full time. I am in this bind because I had to move from our previous address because the mold and carpet was making 2 year old develop all kinds of respiratory problems and they were starting to get worse. Please tell me there is something that you all can do. I am so stressed, I cant sleep, eat, and losing focus on normal daily agenda. Please!!!!

I just moved into my neighbors rental house because I had nowhere else to go. I can’t afford to have electric and water turned on and is having to stay in the cold house and use candles for light. I shower wherever and whenever I can. My family has robbed my House so anything I did have of value I can’t sell to help me out because I no longer have it. I don’t know what else do and know I can’t go on like this much longer. I have asked everyone I know for help and have even tried to sell my only vehicle for 1,000 just to be able to turn on power, water and buy groceries with whatever is left.

I am a stay at home Mom and my boyfriend works however is being laid off. I was wondering how to get started or go about trying to get assistance. We have a power bill that’s $224.04, and we have rent that’s $500 a month, we need help paying. It because our last power was $250, in we had to use the rent money to used to pay for the power I'm own "SSI checks" in so does my son draws "SSI checks" please can you help us out some I need it. If so, then call and get information about how to get help, and aid is usually prioritized for people with children, which should help you out. A $600+ power bills is expensive. Call your Virginia utility company and ask for payment planes, negotiations, and other support and services from them, as most do offer financial aid and support.

So we assume you live in Merced County California. If so here are some of the agencies to call for rent, utility, and general counseling in your region. Specialists can help people find stable housing, mostly low income. Especially if you have kids, and one who may be sick, you may have better luck at getting funding. Find Merced County emergency financial assistance and cash grants for bills and expenses.

I have finally made it to have a home of my own with my two boys ( 7 & 1 of them have respiratory issue we have been going to children's hospital in merced. I have no power in our home have to pay $450.0 ( 200 dep & remainder of previous bill) I will work for anyone whom can help us please. want very much to make this a stable home for us- have been in a very bad physical relationship been in the womens haven have 5 D.V. charges filed on indvdl - police drop saying not enough physical evidence.
