Re: Disability payment not enough to pay my rent
We rely need more information in order for our reply to be effective. Such as state and country. However you can use our general link to rent assistance programs. We have information on eviction prevention, rapid rehousing, cash grants for housing and rent, and more. It covers state and federal programs as well as details on non-profits and charities. Please provide more background. Or in the meantime locate information on our programs for paying rent.

Re: Disability payment not enough to pay my rent
I'm on SSDI and I need help on rent. I just got my grandson last month on the 21 of July. He is on SSI but spent his money and refused to give us any of his check to help us survive. We have no food its cost me 300 a month to take him to school and pick him up so now I can't pay my rent electric or my water cause she also refused to give him his food stamps. I'm manic depressive bipolar and he is ADHD and neither of us are under care my doctor. He retired a couple of years a go. I'm using my money to feed us and give him lunch money and I'm now unable to pay my bills cause I also needed glasses which were over 200. I lost and don't know what to do. Please help me get HUD or something.

Re: Emergency rent help for disabled
I receive disability of $450.00 with my daughter who has Turner syndrome. Our rent is 900.00 at this time. My husband of 24 years is unable to work. We both use to work for St. Vincent Music Ministry for 8 months. And I taught the school children to help with my daughters tuition. Moved to GA. I used to work for 12 years. Came back here for work when it ran out after 9/11. We are about to be thrown out. Please help us. We don't even have a car anymore. I am unable to drive anyway. I have adult onset Epilepsy at age 45. I am now 55. Please help. I have to walk again. Say surgery looks good. It's in Gods hand. May his will be done. Thanks you for reading my situation. Yours truly.

Re: Disability payment not enough to pay my rent
I need bridges and/or some future rental assistance. I recently have been displaced to Washington county, living with relatives, as I would be considered homeless. I would also like to be considered to be able to get state MA, or have the state pay the premiums on Medicare, which I have but dropped last year. I am not working, and I don't know if due to my own personal circumstances if I am employable. Thank you.

Re: Rental assistance while waiting on disability
I desperately need any information or help you can give me and obtaining any kind of state, local or government rental assistance as there is no kind of assistance programs in my county of residence, or so is stated. I have been struggling for the last year trying to obtain some kind of assistance. Unfortunately due to my chronic medical condition (lupus, etc) I am physically unable to continue this search for some kind of assistance. Thank you very much.

Re: Disability payment not enough to pay my rent
I am in need of temporary help of rent help in the Greenville South Carolina County Area. I am a single mother of my daughter who is 4 years and my son who is 8 years. I was injured on the job on 5/27/2012 to the point of permanent work restrictions and I have applied for SSD and have a SSD Dr. appointment on 7/20/2013. I have plans to move my children and myself into an apartment but now I am in need of a place such as hotel/motel assistance in Greenville County because my children go to school in Simpsonville. We were previously living with my father but he is having some issues and is mad at the fact that I want to move 10 minutes away and be a mother to my children, be able to set rules/discipline out of love without undermined. And my daughter doesn't even have a bedroom there. He will not even allow me to have friends over. I am 62 years old and have 100% sole custody of both of my kids. He threatens to move to Canada to try to hurt my children so that he will have "control", push me to recluse in my room as I am feeding, bathing, and "trying" to be the mother I truly want to be on my own independently, not only because of the fact that my mother left when I was two. He found out just that I was looking for my kids and I an apartment and he has threatened me to the point of going to the Simpsonville Police department. My pastor and associate pastor and anyone who I can to think of as to what to do until I get my disability checks. I do receive $85.85 bi-weekly for child support for my son from his biological father. The support is based on me working 40+ hours at Wal Mart and him unemployed. As I stated earlier I haven't been able to work since June of 2012 and ordered to apply for disability because of permanent work restrictions. My children do not want to go back to my father.

Disability payment not enough to pay my rent
I am on disability and going through a divorce. At this time my income is not enough to pay rent and utilities. I am having to stay with a friend who really doesn't have the room for me and my one daughter but was kind and gave us a place to stay until I could get somewhere. I need to find out what is available to me in Iredell County so I can get us into a house or apartment before school starts back. My disability check is my only income. They are not taking applications for section 8 at this time. If you can help me with any other agencies please let me know. Thanks for your help.
Rental assistance while waiting on disability
My electric is $268 and will be shut off after Tuesday if it’s not paid by Tuesday at 5:00 central time. My rent is $500 and was due April 1st and they are talking about evicting me if it’s not paid soon. I do not have a job at this time because I was in a car wreck and am waiting for back surgery and can work at this time. I am trying to get disability but it’s just not going very fast and I am not able to make it. I plan on moving at the end of next month with family so I will not have to worry about bills until I am able to work again or I get disability but I cannot move until then. If you are able to help me in any way please let me know ASAP. I have tried to get help from my family but they are struggling as well and just can't help me. I live in Columbia Missouri. I look forward to your response.

Re: Disabled mother needs emergency rental assistance
I am a disabled single mother renting a home in Lawrenceville, Ga. I have four children and I do not receive child support. My rent is $925.00 a month. I cannot work do to my disability and receive S.S. benefits of $1,200.00 a month which is not enough to keep a roof over my children's head and utilities and provide food. I do not have any family to turn to and have nowhere to go. I am in need of rental assistance for the next two months or we will be homeless. If there is anything you can do to help us I would greatly appreciate it.

Re: Disabled mother needs emergency rental assistance
I have fallen behind on my rent as I did not get a check for 1 full month as my FMLA did not kick in until I missed 2 full weeks of work. I am only receiving 60% of my pay and they have to take out my insurance payment, taxes so I am currently receiving about 700 month and my rent is 440 along with paying my utilities. If I can bring my rent up to date with some help I am hoping that my landlord will forgive late charges and possibly lower my rent until I get back to work and then I can pay the extra I owe him in monthly payments. I was not prepared for this.

Re: Emergency rent help for disabled
I have been employed consistently since I was 18 years old. I am now 47 and am on short term disability only getting partial pay. I have never asked for assistance until now. I have not been able to pay my rent for this month and still need to make car payment. I am without shame asking for just a little help. Live in Tampa. Sincerely struggling tenant.

Re: Disabled mother needs emergency rental assistance
Disabled mother of four in Memphis with disabled kids is in desperate need of help to avoid homelessness which can be life threatening to one of my very sick child. I am sick and very devastated after being evicted a several times due to a very low income to afford my rent. I have applied for SSI which I have been denied and I am now waiting for an appeal with the help of a lawyer. Please help a family in need of emergency help.

Re: Emergency rent help for disabled
I live in Wake County North Carolina. I was hospitalized with a abscess in my abdominal area, have been out of work for three weeks on iv antibiotics at home. I see a surgeon this week and may have to have part of my bowels removed. I have been in good spirits, concentrating on getting well more than my situation. I have very little funds as I worked as an home health care for the elderly, a very rewarding job that pays very little with no benefits. This was a unexpected and sudden illness. The main thing is for me to get well. My main concern is paying my rent. My landlord said being sick is no excuse for not paying my rent. I was just out of the hospital and not even a week late on rent as he sat in my living room watching me do an iv infusion asking for doctors notes and the rent. This male landlord is an elder in his church so I do not understand his non compassion in my situation. Really currently all I need is rental assistance. I worry so about not having a place to live to get well and feel if this was in order I would fell better about getting better. Anxiety and fear takes it's toll on you when you are not well. If you are able to assist in guidance in this area it would be deeply appreciated as I am at a loss in what to do. I am fifty three years old, divorced, and have limited family, an only child since my sister passed 4 years ago. I do not ask them for help as they could not help at this time. Sorry this is in all lower case letters, but I can not get my phone to make upper case and have no computer although I do go to the library for that. Thank you for your time and consideration in this matter and for taking the time to assist those in need.

Re: Disabled mother needs emergency rental assistance
My mom was going to help with one month rent so my kids and I could finally be in a stable place. We have been bouncing around for 3 weeks because she didn't want us in her home anymore. I have cancer. My friend has a full basement he rents out and his landlord told him to get someone in or him and his 3 girls would have to move. My mom agreed to help so we are here and now she won't help because it's not where she wants us. It's all about control. I need only one month 500 hundred so I can get back on my feet. My disability will begin in the next 30 to 60 days and I have retro Ssi coming also. so I can pay back the rent money. Please help????

Re: Emergency rent help for disabled
I am a disabled person who is just trying to get out on her own. I have been living with my mother. I receive SSI Disability but I know the money that I receive will not aid in me putting down payment i.e. first month's rent and deposit. I would love to get help or get information about receiving help on this matter. Thank you in advance.

Emergency rent help for disabled
The reason for need of assistance is, i just got put on disability from my work, and having a hard time keeping bills caught up. With the disability i receive 80% of my take home pay which is not enough to take care of all our bills. I just paid my light bill, and this put me behind 1,020 dollars on rent. And now the manager is going to file a eviction. If this happens me and my family will have no were to go.

Re: Disability voucher to pay rent
Well, need to cut expenses first of all, like cable and phone. Look into the Lifeline free phone program instead. Try discount prescriptions from places like Wal Mart. Find other Philadelphia assistance programs too for information on rent assistance, medication, and help from Pennsylvania disability programs.
