Re: Security deposit voucher

Post by Gump »

Hello, I'm a victim of a crime. I'm under the victim services. I need help with my relocation. I have the paperwork for the reimbursement that the attorney general’s office is going to pay when I find a place for me and my kids. I have no upfront money for deposit. I need help with a deposit or a place where they will let me stay until they get the money from victim services. It takes a week or something like that. Me and my 3 kids have nowhere to go right now please help us.

Hi,
We have extensive information on charities, churches, and assistance programs in Lee County Florida, including Fort Myers. Some agencies may have funding to help get people settled into new housing, provided they are working, attend budgeting type workshops, and meet other criteria. Most places do not just give hand outs though. The leading resources we have for the region can be found on our main site. Explore the entire site too. Anyway, click here Lee County Florida.

We do have tips for deposits as well as some agencies that may have funding for you. Some, like the Salvation Army, operate across the country and others are more local in nature, such as a church. Our leading source of information for security deposits can be found here. Note this is not as common as rental programs. http://www.needhelppayingbills.com/html ... tance.html

I have found and been approved for an apartment. I am in need of $200.00 for the deposit so I can place a hold on the apartment that will be ready by May 1st 2013. I have been waiting for my taxes to come in to be able to do this and I have not received them yet. I am a single mom and a full time student. Currently my son and I are staying with my brother and his family. We are in need of the money for the deposit and possibly the 1st month’s rent. Thank You.

Hello, I live in Grand Rapids, MI. My hours at work have currently been cut and my rent is overdue. I am a full time student and I am just running into problems trying to find some assistance. I would just need help paying this month and maybe next month if possible. I do understand there may be others who are more in need than I am, but I truly need help. My family doesn't live here and I will have nowhere to go if I'm evicted. Any info you have on deposits too and I would like to move closer to my family. Thank you for your time. Have a wonderful day.

I am looking for assistance with rent and security deposit, I also am looking at a disconnection notice from PUD for $126.87. I need to move from my current residence because my cousin has MS and needs help, I live on the 2nd floor, he does not walk. My current landlord is not willing to move me to a 2 bedroom ground floor unit, he has no place to go, I work part time and am on social security disability myself. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your consideration.

Re: help with app fee and deposit for upcoming apartment

I recently received a section 8 voucher, and have had a lot of difficulty finding an apartment for my one year old son and I that met the standards of Pathstones. However last night a very nice gentleman offered us an apartment of his that just came open. The only issue is that I need to come up with the security deposit which is $565. I have been able to come up with $200, but that is even stretching my budget much thinner that what I feel comfortable with. I haven’t been able to find any agencies that help with security deposits. Is there anyone you know of who would even do a loan that I could pay back over like 5 or 6 months? Thank you so much for your time!

We pay $950 rent, and there may be an increase soon, we also have bills...I would say rounding it up to maybe $400 for bills. We are in emergency need, our rent was due January 1st but they have waited on us. God bless.

Hi. I am able to pay rent. However due to my current living situation I am not able to come up with a deposit. I need help with deposit. I make more than minimum wage, however I did not qualify for charity assistance from the hospital for a bill. Where do I go? By the way my kids are grown.

I just turned 22 and moved back from Nevada. I was there for 3 years. I’m looking to start going to school in January. I currently live with my grandparents but it’s not working out very well. I want to find my own place but I need help with security deposit. I’ve gone over the numbers and I wouldn’t be able to afford to. Live on my own and go to school at the same time. Is there any program that could help me?

It looks like you registered/live in Buffalo New York. If so, then here are the Buffalo area rental programs. Now these focus on rent, but we have a host of other information on agencies, charities, and options for the greater Erie County NY region on the site too. Find the Buffalo options http://needhelppayingbills.com/html/buf ... tance.html then use the search bar to locate more, including medical expenses, transportation, and resources for your dad.

Camillia wrote:My friend (30 years old) & his Dad(70) fell on hard times last year. They fell behind on rent resulting w/ an eviction on 03/20/12. My friends Dad has stage 4 cancer of the pancreases & kidney. He receives SSI Disability ($860. month) my friend's his caretaker ($280-$310. month) . DHSS gave a raise but cut his hours,he's the youngest of 5 & has been caring for & living with his Dad for over 3y ears. Needless to say they have bonded, & love one another and don't like to be apart. My friend had friends in Camarillo who let his father stay in their home from 03/08/12-04/01/12. They need a rental opportunity had come but fell thru. My friend & his dad in a motel ($300 per week) with me. My nephew and I were staying with family when they were evicted 03/13/12. We'd been so friends and family, now the motel. The 4 of us are willing to live together, but need an affordable house. Together we rent from $1950.-2250.00 monthly, minus food, medical expenses, such as transportation, medicines, clothes, and utilities. We've got $1250-1350 for rent. We need help, please. Thanks for your time
