I am trying to contact you all to figure out how do I sign up for the Section 8 list in Florida. I am currently homeless with my three small children and my husband; my children are aged five, four and three two boys and one girl. I've been on the public housing list since 2020. When I recently checked. Where was my status? I was number 31. When the beginning of the year came and they merged all the applications together. Somehow my number went up to 3147 and I went up to the Tampa starting. And they said right now They are going to the list to see who needs it. Whoever doesn't begin to remove a name. And then adjust the list. They said it's going to take them 2 months. I'm getting help from friends and family to stay at a motel with my children while I wait for the Florida section 8. But things are getting pretty tight. I don't know who else to contact. Can you please guide me in which direction to go?
