I am a Tulsa Oklahoma resident with a 11 year old son and 3 year old daughter and we are about to be put out of a privately owned and operated sober living home. and we have nowhere to go, so we will be homeless. I feel we are being retaliated against due to the fact I have complained about the unhealthy environment here at this home. Where can I turn for temporary assistance, so type of rent for a new place, or other housing?

I need a 2nd chance. I need help paying rent for month of May. I really made the mistake of letting the father of my 3 youngest children move in while I was on housing. I tried adding him on the lease, he was denied cause of his background he committed a crime that was over 10 years ago. We been separated for almost a year, he now lives with another young girl & i am struggling a lil bit & am begging for a second chance please I really hope to hear from someone asap. I am a Veteran, who has worked as a legal secretary in the State of California for the past 20+ years. However, I was laid off, and have not worked for almost 18 months. My savings has been depleted, and I have not paid rent for the month of May. If I do not pay by the end of the month, I will have to leave my residence of 2 years as I am facing eviction. Please help! God bless.

We do not provide loans. We only provide information on charities, churches, and social service programs to call for help with rent. Find a summary here. http://needhelppayingbills.com/html/get ... _rent.html We do know some non-profits do focus on people with cancer, so look into those. If your mother is old enough maybe she can qualify for senior rent assistance programs too.

My mother, sister, fiance, my 4 year old daughter, and myself stay in the house also. My mother is unable to work due to having cancer treatments all the time and being too ill. As for myself and my fiance, we do work but like everyone else, we have our own bills. This is the time where we are not able to pay the $750.00. We need all the help we can get and I've tried everywhere. I'm just asking for a little loan if possible or a little help! Times are tough, but there will always be a brighter day. Thank you for taking the time to read this. Have a blessed day!

The best program for paying rent that is paid directly to your landlord is section 8 housing vouchers. It is in effect low income public housing, but safe, clean, affordable. You will need to contribute towards your rent, but the funds supplement money that you need to pay. Find details and places to call on Section 8 in Massachusetts, including non-profits and charity type organizations. Countless programs and charities operate in the region and offer financial help and low income housing.

My rent is $1195. It leaves me with $166.40 to pay utilities, food, credit card debt, choking student loans, for both me and my wife. I am simply looking for temporary assistance with my rent, even if it is given directly to my landlord, I can make do with even half of my rent being assisted.

We have a ton of information and agencies listed for Georgetown and Williamson Texas. Many places will help you find a stable home or apartment. Talk to your water company for sewage and power company for help on electricity bills. And find other Williamson financial assistance programs and agencies, such as The Caring Place (512) 869-4735 or Williamson-Burnet County Opportunities.

That is several hundred dollars you need in short order. You really should try to provide more time when looking for help, before the bills or rent are due. You have now created a crisis situation by waiting. Is your wife working and can she get any funds for the rent or power bills? It not, for some last minute rent help, I think look here for aid and support. You may find some programs there to help you, kids, and wife.

Also, we are at risk of having power disconnected in the next few days due to not having $150 for the electric bill and at risk for eviction due to lack of $300 for rent. I am unsure what to do and do not feel like there is any way out. I am so worried that myself my wife and 2 children will soon end up on the streets. Any help anyone could provide would be greatly appreciated. I feel like my life is in shambles, I have an AAS in Legal studies and cannot find work with it due to lack of experience, and have problems getting a job anywhere else due to over education. Thanks and God bless.

So you are in the Phoenix Arizona area?
Find a listing of Maricopa and Phoenix assistance programs for housing and moving expenses. They usually prioritize help for the disabled and families with children. There are places to call like the Community Services of Arizona (phone number 480-963-6276) as well as the Tempe Salvation Army dial (480) 967-8649. They probably can't get you a uhaul, but help with security deposits.

That is great that you made those 30 calls. Keep trying. You can't give up. Some agencies do focus on the disabled though, which would include your medical condition.
Find a comprehensive listing of rent assistance programs. Usually a landlord will work with you too, so hopefully they will in your case too.

I'm very scared and have made at least 30 phone calls looking for assistance with no luck.

The Harris county Texas and Houston area have numerous assistance programs for low income.
http://needhelppayingbills.com/html/har ... progr.html
There are agencies that run eviction prevention programs. Especially if you are about to start a new job, you are more than likely to qualify for short term help for rent.

What state and/or county? Without knowing that my reply is generic. Try the federal government Homeless Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing Program which the federal government funds.
