Hello,
I need help with gas vouchers for mental health and substance abuse treatment. I contacted the Salvation Army and they VERY rudely told me they would not provide that. I contacted the Community Action Agency and they said they could help me with two tanks of gas. I live in Hillsdale County BTW, it is very rural community in Michigan. I called my insurance (United Health Care) and they don't cover it. My DHS worker is 'checking' on it. However, I've found nothing is quick with them (not to be negative, if it works out and they DO, I'd be so happy).
I have many medical appointments and due to all pain related diagnoses (MS being one) things have snuck up on me. I can't seem to get anyone to help me with disability, have no form of income and find myself in a bad spot.

Dodge Durangos are very fuel inefficient and waste gasoline. Get a better car...that may improve your chance to getting to a job. But until then, for your short term needs, try a charity gas voucher program. While they are rare, sometimes they can help.

What a work ethnic in try to provide for your family. The construction industry is really growing, so maybe you can find work closer to home so you do not need to drive 100 miles. Until then, there are vouchers that pay for gasoline if you are working. But they tend to only help for short term needs, and we doubt they will offer long term support. So we suggest looking for another job closer to home to save on your gas costs, and hopefully the weather will improve over the short term.

The reason it's so tough is that I drive almost a 100 miles a day one way to work and my checks have been short because of rain-out days and Holidays.

I just left my husband I was in an abusive relationship. I just found an apartment but my unemployment barely covers the rent. I need help with a gas voucher. I recently found out I'm pregnant, so my boyfriend and I are trying extra hard to get stable again. I recently lost my job & been have trouble with making it to job interview due to not having enough gas. My boyfriend recently just got a job working at Sky Harbor airport but has to miss days already because we are having trouble with gasoline and need a card to help us pay for it. If we could get help with gas it would really make a big difference. Thank you.

I just moved to Natalia with my husband and four children. I am unable pay for gas to get somewhere to put in applications to get a job. I am in desperate need of help so that I can support my family. We need to get the water switched over to our name, which costs $700. Please help by sending us a gasoline card as soon as possible. I tried all these different agencies to look for help. I was with this guy that wanted to have a Baby. I got pregnant and then all the sudden he doesn't want the baby so he kicked me out. I was living in Arizona but I'm moving back to Wisconsin. I came here with nothing and I went back to my old job that I was working for before but now it has closed down and I am on disability and it is hard for me to work but where I was working before I got injured.
At his job he was hurt, and he knew what was wrong with me so when I was hurting I could take a break. I was wondering what all you could help me with gasoline cards because right now I am struggling. I'm not working. I had the baby and I have two other kids. All my stuff is still in Arizona I put it in a storage but I'm paying on every month, and it is getting very hard to pay for it.
I asked about gas cards when I first moved out here they told me there is none. I was on the phone calling all different agencies for help and nobody would return my calls. They told me there is nothing out there to help.
I was wondering if you guys can try to help me so I can really get my stuff out of Arizona and get gas cards to do it that would save me some money every month because right now I'm struggling to pay my rent, my phone bill, my electric and I just don't know what to do. Thank you.

Some churches may help with gasoline costs, especially if you have cancer. Or they can provide other items you need while you get better. Some churches will also have volunteer drivers as a form of transportation. Read how churches may offer gasoline vouchers.

My family and I have came to a time in our lives where we are currently facing financial hardships. I have 10.00 to my name until Wednesday night. I'm struggling trying to pay bills and support my loved ones working in Construction. I'm looking for some resources to assist me with a financial hardship. Over the last month I've had to pay extensive fees to Madison and Rankin county for traffic violations and then over 500.00 for major vehicle repairs to my only source of transportation.
I am gainfully employed but live on a cash only income and only get paid on a monthly basis. I have exceeded my use of paydays loans and now am short on rent, utilities, and transportation cost for the month of June. As a mother of 3 who currently receives no child support any assistance I could receive would be greatly appreciated.

I am looking for assistance as in Gas for my car in order to start my new job on Monday. I have a straight talk phone which a payment of $45 is due on this Saturday. Is there any where I can go for assistance? I think the gas can be taken care of as my safe house case managers and I live in a domestic Violence shelter. My 8 year old daughter lives with me as well, and I need my cell phone in case of an emergency etc.

I am signed on under my son's account. We are in great danger of becoming homeless. I am disabled and have just been able to buy a car after not having one for five years. The tag alone was $245. My health is bad and it require steroid shots for pain and now doctor wants me to have surgery on my neck and back. My check takes care of three people. I do not have the money for car insurance or gas. I am responsible for two grown men who are out of work on a small disability check. We are ALL just trying to make it the best way we can. I went to Goodwill Industries yesterday and they promised me and my fiancé' that they would help us find jobs. I am also going to check out Vocational Rehab and go back to school and so is my son. So you see? We are not this no-good family looking for a handout. We just need some help. I cannot make it to my appointments without gas in my car or drive it without insurance. So, if I could just get help with gas and car insurance we will ALL have jobs within three weeks. Will you please help us?

Hi, I have insurance but my total out of pocket this year is going to be about $1300.00. I can make payments but don’t know if I can pay it all. I am taking chemo and will have radiation for breast cancer and each time I go for a treatment it costs about $45.00 in gas. Also, I had to go without pay at my job for about 3 weeks. I have received some help already but may need a little more. I want to pay as much as I can myself. What can you offer?

I need with paying gasoline, High electric bill, water, and heating oil. Presently, I have no cash. Oil and car insurance are paid up to date. Thank you very much, I am receiving Social Security Disability and a pension, I was forced to retire due to back injury.

I'm not sure exactly what I am supposed to be doing so I will tell you what is going on. In 2010 I closed my business of 5 years due to slow economy and my wife went to work at that time. I went back to school in the fall of 2011 and just graduated this May of 2012. Last year after getting done with my internship at school I was involved in a accident where I broke my arm and did not obtain employment until this June and it was a temporary job which ended in August. So we are a family of three and living on an income of take of about $2350 A MONTH. We just lost our house we bought in 2006 in Green Bay and moved to Milwaukee WI. I am actively seeking employment, even outside the area of my latest expertise. Just coming up with gas money or vouchers for interviews is impossible. So in a small nutshell this is our dilemma. Can you help?

Hello I am in need for gas vouchers as well as car repair services. I am not working right now me and my husband and daughter are on welfare. My husband was a victim of a drive by shooting he was shot 6 times and cannot work. I recently stopped working to care for him and we need help with gas so I can take him to all his doctor visits. Please respond I am desperate and in need. I called our social worker but she said they do not offer gas vouchers and we just get about 600 a month for our car payment and car insurance we don’t have anything left expect for gas which runs out fast I am now looking for work. I have one daughter who is 10 year old, I find myself looking for rent assistance and trying to find out how to get a gas in our car to get to interviews and different place we have go to. Hi there, I am unemployed and have been since June 2012. I have never came to a church to ask for assistance and that i am in need of your assistance. I live in Louisville KY and that the person i live with said i had to leave as but don't have no where to go. I do have a truck with a clear title but have no gas to go around and look for employment. I have put in a lot of applications in person and as well on the internet but no luck. I believe a former employer is giving me a bad reference and stopping me from getting a chance. I do have a lot of experience but no luck. I don't want to leave here because of no job or money coming in and would like your assistance. I have no gas in my truck to go any where to look for work or look for help. I could use some clothing too but don't know where to go to get help. If you know any one who is hiring and would give me a chance it would be much appreciated. We need some food too. Free gasoline is very rare. Maybe the Salvation Army in Wisconsin. From time to time they may have vouchers for things like job interviews or medical appointments. Read more and find locations. Who knows, they may have a few bucks for water bill assistance in Green Bay too, or at least be able to refer you. Also look into some type of payment plan for that several hundred dollar bill.

I was wondering if there are any programs in Green Bay Wisconsin/Brown County that help with providing gasoline and paying water bills. I am 3 months behind. Also, is there any other programs/assistance for heat/electric? I received the crisis assistance, due to a disconnection notice, but still owe about several hundred dollars on my utilities. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you,
