Since you're in Easthampton, I would contact Community Action Pioneer Valley and ask if they know of any programs for seniors or disabled homeowners facing tax foreclosure. The website is https://www.communityaction.us/. You should also reach out to Western Massachusetts Legal Services, as they may be able to review your situation and discuss any options you have regarding the tax debt.
You may also want to ask the Easthampton Tax Collector's office if there are any hardship programs, payment agreements, or exemptions available for disabled homeowners.

I am behind $21,000 in back property taxes as well as water bills. I live in Easthampton, MA. Is there any way you could help me so I can stay in my home.
I've been sending in partial payments to the attorney representing the City of Easthampton, but was told $500 a month wasn't good enough for the taxes or water that is due. I am now being forced to sell my house---a house I've lived in 61 years (my entire life). I'm also mentally disabled. Selling my house would be too devastating for me. I just don't know where to turn. I am also on disability.

My grandmother passed and my mother this year and the water bill is behind 3000 dollars and taxes behind 6500 dollars. I am trying to be able to stay in this house but I need help getting the water in and getting the taxes caught up. I am diabetic on 2 different insulin and I can't afford to pay all this money and I wasn't aware that all this was going in to after my mom died.
