I did not ask to be assaulted nor did I ask for my apartment to burn down. Nor did I ask to be disabled in a wheelchair.
Yes my apartment burned down right smack in the middle of covid as I was taking care of friends and working. I was unaware that I did not have renters insurance. I only had liability so I lost everything and nothing was reimbursed. I had to pay for everything and that was the beginning of my nightmare. Then I was kind enough to help out 2 friends and was promised rental reimbursement but never received anything. I was so happy to help my friends, but I was put in a horrible financial situation after financially taking care of them.
I’m also fleeing from a domestic violence situation and I’m doing my best. He broke my back in July 2023. I’m trying to keep my apartment so I can have surgery and have someplace to go after. I would go to a shelter, but not only would I lose my home I can’t have a caregiver with me or visit me. The doctors are not helping me all I do is sit in pain now scared to death I'm going to be homeless next month. I get $98 a month for food and that is supposed to last all month but I'm hungry 22 days out of the month.
I need help with my rent and do not know how to ask or who to ask so I'm asking you kind organizations I'm willing to work but can't seem to get help or get hired because of disability of being in a wheelchair.
I could be a customer service representative, but I need surgery first. My dream is to be a foster caregiver for babies that are addicted to drugs. Please I will show proof of anything you need, and I will explain the rest of my situation if needed. I need help with my past due bills and rent and my car repairs until I have my back surgery. Even if you can't help me a kind word and a prayer I would love to hear. I have no family and no support system I’m so embarrassed. I have always been the one taking care of everyone else but now I need someone just to help me please. I completely understand if you can't help me. I promise to give back when I’m all better.
Please, I’m at the point of begging for assistance with my rent. I don't want to be in a wheelchair and homeless.
