I recently became homeless about 3 months ago and have been staying at hotels here and there and at a friend’s house. She is getting divorced and having to move back to Texas leaving me with nowhere to go. They are giving me until 8/1 to find somewhere to go.
I work full time, making $17.30 per hour. I can afford to pay rent I'm just having a hard time coming up with first last and security. As well as paying to stay here and there. Please refer me to someone that can help. I am in desperate need.

My name is Zachariah, and I am looking for a little assistance in getting a security deposit to find a place for me and my family. I lost my place March 18th and have had a difficult time finding a place to move into. I am a veteran and have tried to get help through SSVF and other services, but they all say that I make $200 too much to qualify for assistance. I
haven't been able to get a place because people want to you to make three times the amount of rent, but they say that I don't make enough. I also have a balance at my old complex which is making it impossible to get approved anywhere. I applied with OurFlorida to try and get that balance taken care of so it doesn't go to collections and so I have a place for my family. I'm currently living in hotels with my family to keep them out of the shelters. It's been hard saving because of this.
I work for Amazon, and I start a second job, overnight, with Pepsi on the 16th. I got the second job so I can make the three times the amount of rent. I'm working as hard as possible to get money to pay for the security deposit, but I need more to get these things taken care of, but it's been extremely difficult to get off of the ground because it's been virtually impossible to save. Once I get into a place, I'll be able to save and get things taken care of, but I don't have anywhere else to turn for deposit money. I can't seem to find the help in a timely manner. I know I contacted last minute. I was receiving help with the deposit and first month rent however the person stopped contacting me. I am trying to move ASAP, currently 34 weeks pregnant. Where I am loving in is temporary, and having a baby and my current pets, is too much for the household and I wont be aloud to stay due to those circumstances. I am looking for any help with security deposit and first month rent. My children and I have lived in the same house for 18 years. My landlord suddenly passed away and his wife sold the house. We only got 30 days to move our 30 days are up July 24th. I am struggling trying to come up with the extra money to move to a house that we are wanting to rent. The house we have been living in the owner passed away and his children have decided to sell this house. Which is leaving us stuck in a bind. Yes, deposit help tends to be less common. But not impossible in Minneapolis or other cities. Generally the applicant needs to be able to prove housing stability and ability to make future rent payments, which is not very common. Regardless look here for options.

I need HELP with my security deposit my landlord said she only can hold my house for 2 weeks so I can try and come up with my security deposit. I literally just found another job and I need HELP! I'm still waiting on my taxes, etc. and 3rd stimulus check. I never been in a messed up situation like this and definitely don't like putting my business out here like this either. I currently receive Section 8 with Dallas Housing. I'm lost and need HELP can someone point me in the right direction for security deposit assistance PLEASE... I know this is a long shot, but I am in need of assistance with 1st month, last month, security deposit to move into a place with my 2 children.
We are currently homeless and have been for the last 3 months. I got evicted after I couldn't pay my rent after battling covid for 5 weeks. I lost my job and couldn't pay my rent. I had a rental assistant program help me, but my landlord refused the assistance and evicted me instead. I am currently employed full time with the city of Ft. Lauderdale housing authority, but I have no place to live with my 2 children. I have no family support and my children father is deceased. We have been sleeping in my car and in abandoned houses that is known for drug abusers and prostitution. I fear for my children's future. I have steady income and a good chance at life if I can just obtain a stable and safe living arrangement. I can pay my bills. I have an eviction so it's hard to find someone that will rent to me. I had to hire someone to help find a private landlord that will give me a 2nd chance. I had a program called LifeNet4Families willing to help me but now the case manager on my case is no longer there and so the whole process has to start over. They promised to pay all move in costs. I got approved for a place that is perfect for me and my kids. The rent is affordable, and it is just what we need. I just need help with the move in costs. I just filed my taxes and am expecting a large return but not for several weeks. I need the help now! Please help me or direct me to someone who can help. This is very time sensitive as I only have a few days to come up with the deposit. I have called every assistance program I know of, and I have my name in everywhere. Please help! I can provide any documentation needed.

I’m reaching out in looking for grant assistance in rent/security deposit. It’s my first time so I’m not quite sure what I need. I just found out I got approved for the place I applied for. My landlord at first was stating I was unqualified so I used my savings for the apartment for other necessities, so when he told me he approved it yesterday and Stated that he needs the security deposit and monthly rent by tonight. If you are disabled, have no job, no child support, etc. what good is getting money for a deposit or first months rent when you will not be able to afford future rent payments? SSI will not cover it in Houston Texas. You need much more support. Look into living with family, a shelter, or something. In the meantime, look here for Houston rental assistance programs.

I've had days I've gone hungry to ensure my kids were fed but I don't know what else to do now I am just evicted for the first time due to someone stole my account information and I got late charges and bounced check fees which I never knew I had a checking account since I was told it was a debit savings account. Either way I am held responsible at least for now until I can show ,my proof when I take the other party to court to get reimbursed. I have good rental history and making payments just couldn't pay additional fees upfront and live and eat for the rest of the month. I never had extra money to play with but was ok as long as my kids were happy. I currently am considered homeless I guess you would say but have been looking for a place for months and just this morning I got confirmation I am approved on a 2 bedroom 2 bath place to call home. It’s perfect for me and my 2 kids but I don't know how I can pay for my first month’s rent and the security.
I have to pay for a place to stay either day to day or weekly and don't want to lose this opportunity I've been waiting months to finally get some good news about. I don't know the process or if you can point me in the right direction but I am desperate and my kids are the  most important thing to me and without them I have nothing. Please let me know if there is anything you can do to help point me in the right direction or if form I can fill out or list of places to call that can help for rent and first-last security deposit. Texas or NYC? As they are completely different. But there are homeless prevention grants in Texas. But we doubt you can get $11,300....that is probably impossible if not hopeless for you and your apartment.

I need help paying back rent to nycha for $11,300 which also covers the security deposit on the apartment. I was in a domestic violence situation with my sons father while my son was away in college. I was working and my housing assistant felt it was better if she didn't put my pay stubs down with annual review to help me save money to move away from him. But my son always needed grant money for school and he was away in Texas.

            Myself and my partner are wondering  if we qualify for a one time assistance with our first month's  rent and deposit, my partner works but we cannot come up with the money to move. We can pay the rent monthly but unable to move our landlord has raised the rent every year since we have been here. Starting November 1st we will have to start paying 1850. We have been here for 6 years and this place is not worth it  to many repairs needed, and our landlord is favoring our newer tenants. We had our car stolen last year and we were allowed to park our second car in the back, after 6 years of parking  back there we are no longer aloud to park there because of the neighbors  complaining. We feel it’s reteliation, discrimination, our landlord  told us he doesn't  care  instead of fighting with the neighbors we just want to move.
