Re: Food Pantry List - Where is a good one?
Is there any organization that could help me pay my bills (food, groceries, clothes medical bills, etc.)? I have special dietary needs that food banks do not seem to meet.
I am 57 years old and receive social security and live alone in Springfield, OH. My medical conditions are COPD and going through CHEMO treatment for Breast Cancer and other medical conditions. I can barely get food even from a pantry as I have a special diet.
I know I will have major medical bills soon due to the chemo treatment. I do have health insurance, but I am not sure how much they are going to pay on my medical bills. And my clothes for treatment are needed too and will be coming due.
Any assistance or information is a blessing.

Hi Lori and all,
Lori, since you need BOTH short term meals on wheels and also ongoing delivery, try the main list of local food programs. We have both delivery and ongoing pantries listed here. https://www.needhelppayingbills.com/htm ... r_you.html

Re: Disabled Food Pantry or Banks that deliver
I need to sign up for Meals on Wheels, as well as ongoing food delivery if possible?
I'm poverty level income, disabled and alone with no transportation
(I'm widow & my children are grown and out of state)
I'm in need of help with food to my home also would be great if I can get on list for a donation car ? Any running & legal automatic would change my life. It's hard to get food, medications, out to appointments etc. as someone who is disabled. Thus the request for a food pantry that deliver to disabled people like me.
Please send link for me to apply for holiday help online or to my mailbox
Thank you very much for reading & anticipated help.
God Bless you
Lori

Re: Food Pantry List - Where is a good one?
Good morning,
I need help finding resources for my mom, in particular food. She got temporarily disabled because of a work accident. She’s waiting to get approved for surgery. Not only can't she get to the grocery store right now and doesn't have enough food to eat or money to pay mor, but meanwhile the landlord where she’s staying decided to raise her rent with is more than what her disability check is. Also she needs food stamps because she doesn’t get enough to be able to pay for groceries. She is really struggling and needs lots of help. Please help!!

My name is Misty and I need a food pantry that will help me. Also I'm in need of internet services. I just recently found out I have cancer an I have to do a lot on the internet such as look for healthy food and vitamins that is for people with cancer. I have a smart phone but my screen is cracked and I cant see how to get online with it. Please contact me back with any information you have that I might can get some help. Also I am on food stamps and the community affairs people are in process of helping me apply for Meals on Wheels. But right now I need groceries, soap and stuff from a food pantry but they seem so hard to find as there is too much information. Where can I look for a guide? Please i need help.

Re: Disabled Food Pantry or Banks that deliver
I live at Little Elm, TX 75068 and I am on disability and need a food pantry that delivers to the disabled. I've been on disability since October 2018. I am 52 years old.
don't qualify for any help because I'm not a senior over 65 or because I make a little bit too much a month but yet I can barely make it being disabled without have food or meals delivered. Wherein live now I can't even get Meals on Wheels and where are used to live in Athens Texas I at least got meals on wheels. I only get $15 food stamps.
I don't have a car because I worked part time making car payments and Social Security made me quit part time therefore I had to lose my car. I need a car to go to doctors’ appointments medicines, grocery store and to get peace of mind just to go somewhere. I cannot get any dealership to qualify me for used car not even under $5000 and anything over $5,000 I have to have a cosigner or money down.
I'm lost I'm hopeless and begging and praying for help. Also, I am alone. I live alone. My depression and anxiety is through the roof and I can't get anyone to help. PLEASE CAN YOU HELP ME??

Re: Missing work to go to a food pantry is not an option
We don't know where you can help paying for a food "bill", but there are tons of free food pantries in FL and nationwide. As well as soup kitchens. Hopefully they can prevent you from going hungry. As well as give other resources, and find free food pantries in Florida.

I live in Brandon, Fl and am seeking information on if or where I can find assistance to pay my food and electric bill this month. I would appreciate any information you could provide in this matter.

Missing work to go to a food pantry is not an option
My name is Justin. I'm in a bind this week as I can't miss work yet I also need food. I just got paid but I had to pay rent and because of the holidays, it cut me short on hours without holiday pay. I can't afford to take off through the week. I can't miss work to hit a food pantry so I'm looking for one that hopefully is close and open on Saturday. After paying rent I have ten dollars to my name for the rest of the week and I still have to get back in forth to work. I will handle that but if by any chance I can get some food assistance for the week would be highly gracious. Please and thank you, God bless.

There are food banks and meals on Wheels in El Paso TX. either may help you. They do not discriminate against the disabled or those that lack transportation. Find them here, and locate Meals on wheels in El Paso County.

Re: Disabled Food Pantry or Banks that deliver
Hello,
I stumbled onto your website looking for food banks for the disabled in my area.
We're a family of 6 with the 4 of us at home still and one disabled.
We have fallen on some hard times. The worse we've had yet. My husband and I both lost our jobs a few days apart.
We were already struggling trying to make up what we had spent on the holidays. Now this! Our landlord has been amazing working with us. I thought we'd get caught up when our taxes came in. There is a hold on our check from back taxes. I'm not even sure if we will get any back at all.
I am not sure where to turn. If you could pass any information on food banks my way that would be so much appreciated!
We live in Shelbyville, Indiana. This house is our dream home it would completely break all our hearts.

Re: Where can I find local food banks
Well there are hundreds of local food pantries (if not thousands) in every single state. They can give you the food you need. As far as the insulin, information on energy assistance, etc. many of them do have case workers on site. They may be able to direct you to a resource. So here is the list of emergency food pantries you can try.
Call in advance as the hours change. Also, since you indicated you have no job, maybe you can volunteer at the food bank you apply to in order to get some experience for a resume. Good luck.

Re: Disabled Food Pantry or Banks that deliver
The Homebound can look into a Meals on Wheels service. This is usually an option regardless of income. You seem to indicate it is a short term injury, and you may be better in a while. That is not an issue...this program can still help you. As Meals on Wheels is both for long term and short term support.
HeadofFamily wrote:I want to find out about food banks that can help me as I am homebound, rent assistance and utilities.
Worse case scenario and even then it'll be awhile till I know or can get approved and still have bills. If they is a program that can help with money to benefit towards the bills please contact me. Or Meals on Wheels would be nice, or some food program like that.

Re: Disabled Food Pantry or Banks that deliver
I want to find out about food banks that can help me as I am homebound, rent assistance and utilities. I have a shoulder injury and before the injury jobs were pretty scarce. No luck finding a job and things have been stressful. I have no job, a broke shoulder and crappy car I have to deal with daily and I'm looking for a sign from god for some kind of help. So I can't even drive to a pantry. I don't know if it will be bad enough for disability.
Worse case scenario and even then it'll be awhile till I know or can get approved and still have bills. If they is a program that can help with money to benefit towards the bills please contact me. Or Meals on Wheels would be nice, or some food program like that. We recently acquired a apartment and I have no insurance and have therapy and no income to provide towards the bills. My girlfriend lost her job and has been on unemployment and will soon run out so any assistance will help until something comes along.

Re: Where can I find local food banks
I am single parent with no income. I have been actively looking for employment but found nothing. I receive food stamps and assistance from section 8 but I am still responsible for all electricity, gas and hot water at my unit. As of today, my lights were cut off due to non payment and also have a disconnection notice for gas.
I am unemployed and have no funds. I also rely on insulin that needs to be refrigerated. I applied for CEDA and the office lost my paperwork and since then have received no assistance because of no funding. I need food from a pantry, and please help me with assistance toward these utilities and any job leads if available.

I am a MS patient and my family and I are needing guidance with help. We are in need of food, help with bills, gas for doctor visits and guidance to help my Husband get a job. If there is anyway possible that we can get some guidance on these matters I would appreciate it. We live in Owensboro Kentucky and I have tried to look and find address but I get in to things with ads and such.

Re: Where can I find local food banks
In Victoria Texas. My friend needs help and does not know where to turn. He has 2 special need boys. The 10 year old has full blown autism and 4 year old daughter is severely retarded. He is behind on rent and utilities but more than that he has no food nor any way to get it. Today when I talked to him his little one was drinking sugar water.
My husband and I were at Wal Mart for many years. But we have been out of the work for around 10 years now. We have not even one dollar we can send him at this time. My husband is now very old and very sick. Can you please help my son in any way. He hates to ask for help.

Re: Where can I find local food banks
There are many food banks in Nevada as the state was hard hit by the weak economy. What may be offered includes groceries and maybe even formula since you are about to deliver a baby. Did you look into applying for any government aid as well, such as SNAP food stamps or more local NEvada program? They may be a good idea too. Here is more information on the food banks. http://www.needhelppayingbills.com/html ... tries.html
