Re: Insurance on mobile home
If they have a vehicle now, they should be able to add this to their policy with the insurance company they have. It will be considered another auto, as a mobile home is considered mobile. Even though it's considered a automobile, keep track of the interest on any loans associated with this, as I fo...

Re: Phone bill
I have been unemployed off and on for 4 years now, I was reading my last bill from Verizon, and I had heard this before also. In looking over my bill, I did see something about helping with low income people afford phone service. I called verizon and explained that I am on unemployment and Food stam...

Re: Late fee on rent
I myself, bills are more then unemployment. I was told by legal aid, here in my state of Delaware that housing (rent, mortgages) get paid first. Then prioritize the other bills as what is essential. Look at all bills and see what can be cut, cable, cell phone, and I can tell you that if your unemplo...

Re: Late with mortgage payment
Most mortgage companies include the property/school tax within the mortgage payment itself. This way the states are assured they are getting paid. Look back over you tax papers and see what it states on the form the bank (mortgage) company sent you as far as what you paid in interest, principal and ...

Re: Any alternatives to bankruptcy
They have to accept what ever you can pay. But I wouldn't worry about medical bills if you can't pay them, you can't pay them. They have so many years to sue you for a judgement and usually they don't. Hospitals write them off. I have been in this situation many times, and have never paid off any bi...

Re: Car Repair help
I always suggest to people that need car repairs, try calling your local high schools, vocational high schools, and automotive vocational schools. I don't know where they get their cars to work on, but it's worth a try. I remember in my high school days that the automotive repair shop class, had car...

If you own your house, try to access your attic and see how much insulation is up there, I re-insulated my attic, also insulating between the joists in the basement if they are open, this helps keep the cold air from coming through to the first floor. On a cold day, go around your windows and doors ...

Re: We don't have health insurance
Check with Legal Aid/Services in your area. They give free advice. Don't sweat the medical bills, most likely 90% of people can't pay them. I had at one time not paid my medical bills and they do drop off your credit report after 7 years if this is not a problem for you to go that long. Also, you ar...

I believe that the bank will still work with you even if you can't make the payment that you agreed to upon settlement. They want to get paid, since this economy is so bad. Call them and explain that you can't send that amount, but could send x amount of dollars this month. I was told by legal aid, ...

Re: Need tags for car
That's going to be a hard one, try first calling around to different insurance companies, tell them you want the state minimum coverage in car insurance. Also ask about mobile home insurance for combined policies, with multiple policies with the same carrier you usually get a discount on the policy....

If you haven't had the plan from AT&T long, meaning it's less than 30 days, you can take it back and cancel the contract. Then go on the internet and look up best cell phone plans, I finally decided based on the amount of calling I did, to get a pay as you go phone, since I only use my cell phon...
