Storehouse West will help individuals and families that are experiencing a short term need for help, which may include those who are out of work, that have no unemployment benefits or whose benefits have ended, individuals on welfare or people who are currently waiting for their first employment check. The non-profit and the churches that partner with the organization have a few key needs that they focus on, however they can also serve as a source of referrals and guidance for any low income family or individual in the region.
Some examples of the services offered include the following. The Gateway to Self-Sufficiency is for homeless families and women in the region. Many people are able to enroll into Catholic Charity education and job training resources, as increasing your income is the long term key to self-sufficiency. Sandoval County temporary and transitional housing programs are available for the recently evicted and homeless. Some resources are for low income families, single parents, and immigrants.
