Lee County Florida free Christmas assistance programs.

Lee County Florida has several charities that provide assistance during Christmas. Low income families, including single moms and dads, can apply for toys, clothing, and other gift giving programs. The assistance available in the Fort Myers as well as Cape Coral region will also generally be offered along with a free, hot holiday meal.

There are many charities, including the Salvation Army of Lee County as well as the Toys for Tots service, that provide free Christmas gifts for children to open. Most of what is given out is donated, but there may be the following.

-Toys, such as dolls, trucks, board games.
-Clothing, including boots, hats, and jeans.
-Free Thanksgiving and Christmas meals or food baskets are passed out in Lee County.
-Educational supplies, such as books, electronics, and more.
-Specialty programs such as Angel Tree or Adopt a Family.

That is just a sample of the holiday assistance available. Applications are accepted during the late fall months.
