I need help to pay my rent this month. My spouse recently lost his job 3 months back and has now just started a new one across the state of MI by Detroit and he has a 2 hour commute now. I have fallen behind on bills and we need for help. We have two small children together in our home...our 4 yr son and our 11 month old baby girl who have a birthday coming up this Friday. I have no funds to prepare for her 1st birthday and we also not complete with their Christmas which will be here in a few short months. We are now facing eviction soon in the next 6 days. I'm loaned out from every lender in Michigan, my wages are in the process of being punished as well. As a mother, I’m in desperate need of help now. Please help me and my family. May God bless you?

That is a very small town/county in rural MI. Resources are limited, whether for rent or something else. We suggest the community action agency in the Montmorency County area, and find help from NE MI community action.

Hello, I live Grand Rapids, MI 49507
And I was wondering if there is any organization to help with rent.
My rent is $700. And I am a single mother with 3 children. I just caught up with July rent. I already paid $200 for August and September is near. School is also approaching for my nine year old daughter and I can’t afford her any school clothes. I just got a job three days ago. But I still can’t catch up. Please help.

I need help paying my rent ASAP. I live in my home in Michigan for 7 years. I really like where I live.
I have 3 cats, 3 turtles, a bird named P2 and fish. My mother just recently passed away and she was our back bone of our family and since she been gone it’s been really hard.
I've been applying for job everywhere and getting no luck. Its really frustrating. I have really no income. I'm on food-stamps already; that's a really big help. I just don't want to live in my car or the street with all my animals. Can you please help?

If you were just evicted, why would anyone help pay the deposit for a new home? What have you done to solve the underlying issue of you not being able to pay rent? For advice on how to stabilize your situation, here are agencies to try in Michigan. Read Michigan homeless prevention programs.

Dear Sirs/Madam, I am writing to ask for help in moving into an apartment in Bay City Michigan. I do not have a vehicle or I would come in and my phone is out of minutes. I am looking for somewhere to live.
I am 62, on disability and need a place to live desperately. The rent should be around $250 and I have enough for the security which will be the same but I have to rent a U-Haul to get there and that will wipe me out with paying those two. If you would need any info and want it please write back and tell me what you need and I will provide it.
I have Scoliosis, Fibromyalgia, Osteoarthritis, and need surgery on my spine and need a hysterectomy. I am in a terrible fix for money to move and security deposit and they are processing my application right now up in Bay City. If you wish to contact her and ask her about me. I thank you for reading this.

I am leaving my job of two years in the city of Flint to work in the Post Office in Birmingham, MI and have very limited funds to pay a security deposit because of personal bills. I want to move there because of the Flint water crisis and really need some kind of relocation expenses, where can I get help because I have to leave in exactly 2 weeks. I really need some help with the deposit.

It sounds like you are doing all the right steps in order to get rent help...that is impressive. When apply in Kalamazoo, tell them you have multiple jobs, are starting a new one, etc. That work ethic will definitely help your case, as agencies want people to be self-sufficient. So here is the list of agencies in Kalamazoo for rental assistance.

The house I have been renting for the last 51/2 years has been sold and the new owner terminated my lease. I’m on section 8 housing and have a voucher to move in Michigan. I need numbers of agencies that help with security as the new owner will not give me my security that she has until I vacate and I wasn't prepared to move since my lease isn't up until October 31 2015. I am a single mother of 2 children and am currently unemployed. I Would be able to pay the money back once the new owner returns my security. I just don't have it to move now any help will be greatly appreciated.

I am a single parent of three children. I moved to Kalamazoo Michigan a year ago for a better life for my children. I was working three jobs as a home health aid. Home Health hasn't proven to be a steady job and I fell behind on my rent. I recently received a new job, but it hasn't started yet. My land lord is not willing to wait on my first check, and I understand him. I'm $1300 behind and I fear I'm about to be put out. I am truly a hard worker. I have worked all my life, I'm just having a hard time with this transition. Is there any information you can give me that will help?

I was wondering if you could please help me find assistance programs in the Plymouth / Canton Michigan area. My family needs to find housing in that area because that is where my boyfriend’s work is but we need assistance financially in doing so. If you could point me in the right direction to programs that could help us, including with the deposit. Thank you.

Hello, I live in Woodhaven, MI in Oakland County. I was hoping you or if you knew a charity or something that could help me in my time of need. I have been searching and searching, and calling different places looking for help, but no luck. I’m down to the wire. I have to have the money for my rent by October 27th. I've been to court for it and everything, and I have to pay the amount by the 27th, and that’s Monday. I got a little loan from H&R Block for half. And DHS is only paying $232 and I have to come up with $2514.88 more. If you know any type of help I can get, can you please email me back as soon as possible or give me a call. Thank you!

My young daughter and myself are on the brink of an eviction with no where to go in this soon to be harsh Michigan weather as well as lose our heat and electricity, and our telephone which is important because I have an asthmatic daughter and must have access to be able to dial for an emergency. Any, any help or direction, referrals would be a God send. I am unfamiliar with all of this and do not know where to begin. Thank you, for anything you can do. Sincerely,

You are facing an eviction, and your landlord gave you notice? if so, then you may have options. Especially if you only need that one time aid of $650. As people who are generally stable or more likely to get some type of assistance for their rent if they will be back on track in the future. But shelters should never be ruled out. Anyway, find information on the agencies that can stop evictions in Michigan.
