Free food banks in Wilmington and New Hanover County NC.

The Wilmington North Carolina region is supported by a number of food banks that provide groceries, clothing, meals, and free food to individuals who need assistance in the community. Many of the pantries near you in New Hanover County are operated by or located within local churches, however others are operated by local non-profit charity as well as government type organizations. Find where to get free groceries today as well as a referral number at the bottom of the page for more free food programs.

Some of the items distributed by the Wilmington and New Hanover County food banks include perishable items such as fruits, vegetables, and breads. Other sites will offer the clients applications to public aid, such as SNAP or USDA commodities. Or people can stop by for free, emergency food boxes. The hours of the centers, churches, and food pantries are limited, and unfortunately they usually do not have enough resources to help everyone in need.
