Volusia and Flagler County free Christmas and holiday assistance.

Charities across Volusia County help less fortunate families during the holidays. Most of the assistance is provided during Christmas, and this is when households with children can apply for free toys, gifts, and holiday presents. However other material assistance can be provided at other times of the year.

There are several major fund raising projects held during the year. As an example, a charity may request people from the community to contribute food and gifts to a holiday program. Throughout the year, volunteers will collect these toys, games, household supplies, bicycles, and much more. Then, during the Christmas season, all of this will be given, for free, to low income households.

Whether a family lives in Volusia County or in other, nearby areas such as Flagler, there may be assistance available for them. The fact is that every child should have a present to open under the Christmas tree. Others, such as seniors and families living in poverty, also deserve a Thanksgiving or Christmas meal.
