As part of these programs clients and those that have been evicted will be required to be working towards self-sufficiency, employment, and gaining stability.
The organization will provide short term support of maybe up to several months. During their stay in a transitional housing program the client will need to have a plan and work towards stability. Social workers can assist and advice on this process.
As the participant completes their stay in the transitional housing program they will get help in finding a new, permanent home or apartment to live in. There are a number of low income and government subsidized homes and apartments in the greater Stark County region. Many of them participate in government rental subsidy programs such as section 8 housing vouchers as well.
