Rental assistance is available in Asheville and Buncombe County North Carolina. If you need help paying your rent, stopping an eviction, or finding low income housing, then the agencies, government programs, and organizations below may be able to help.

Families with children, the elderly, disabled, and the low income with jobs, but who can’t make ends meet,  receive priority. Some of the non-profit organizations may also offer security deposit assistance, vouchers to pay for hotel or motel rooms, or money for moving costs. Those individuals who are faced with an imminent eviction, or who are currently homeless, can get information on and help in applying for low income housing and government programs such as section 8 housing vouchers.
