Food pantries in Rapides Parish.

Residents of Rapides Parish can obtain free food or groceries from a pantry. The assistance is available from locations below and is targeted at families that qualify based on income or those that are facing a crisis. The food pantries combine immediate assistance along with referrals to long term government support as well as benefits.

Some of the centers in Rapides Parish focus on feeding senior citizens. Others help children, and some of the pantries will assist people of any age or background. The key is to find out what the application process is as well as hours of operation. Even if a food bank can't help, they will often provide referrals to nearby Alexandria programs.

Qualified families may be given cereal, rice, soup, beans, dairy and more. New moms, teenage mothers, or parents living in poverty may qualify for baby formula or even clothing for a newborn. Other aid may also be provided to Rapides Parish residents.
