There are programs from churches and charities for the low income, elderly, unemployed, people with no money, and working poor among others. Free groceries may be given away daily or today in Pinellas County. Some of the food banks in Pinellas County can provide more than just perishable or non-perishable food as noted below.

Food distribution centers can offer additional items such as free pet food, baby supplies, personal hygiene items, cleaning items, detergent and almost all locations serve as a great place to get information and referrals from. Some locations also process application for public assistance such as WIC or SNAP food stamps.

There is also a referral number at the bottom of the page for more information on county resources. Never hesitate to call a non-profit or church for help. The counselors and volunteers at this sites are friendly, caring, and considerate, and assistance is confidential.

In addition to the city below, there are regional options too. They will offer meals, personal hygiene and other assistance across the county.

  • There is the community action agency (Opportunity Council) can provide information on state and county government benefits, including SNAP food stamps, free school lunches, and more.
