Free Christmas and holiday programs in Northwest Indiana.

Help is provided during the holidays, including at Christmas, by charities in Northwest Indiana. There are programs in Allen, Lake, Porter, Hamilton and other counties as well as the city of Gary. Resources include free Christmas toys for children to food baskets for families. There are also Thanksgiving or Christmas meal deliveries for seniors in the area as well.. Find details on Toys for Tots, Angel Tree, as well as Salvation Army and other free charitable holiday programs.

The toys as well as free Christmas gifts (or vouchers) passed out are the results of donations and programs such as Adopt a Family or Angel Tree. Many businesses as well as non-profits across the region provide games, books, toy trucks for boys and more to these Christmas programs. Volunteers then package the items and help pass the presents out to children from low income families.
