Free clothing closets, back to school supplies and furniture om Northeastern Florida.

Families that live in northeastern Florida can get free clothes for their family, furniture for a home or apartment or back to school supplies for students. There are a number of charities that operate clothing closets, thrift stores, or furniture banks, all of which are listed below.

Find where residents can some of their basic needs, such as free stuff such as clothes or furniture for general use. Distribution sites as well as charities are located in all counties, including Clay, Baker, Columbia and nearby regions. They will provide income qualified families with free clothes, Christmas assistance, household goods, birthday gifts, back to school items and more stuff. There may also be free bedroom sets, appliances, kitchen supplies and other goods from furniture banks. Many resources are also offered for children and single parents.

While those with the lowest income may receive free supplies, others from the region can shop at a local thrift store. These sites will normally have gently used goods (including clothing, computers and furniture) available at a reduced price. Many of the clothing banks in the region of Nassau and St. Johns County and northeast Florida increase the amount of aid they provide during Christmas or the back to school seasons. So toys, gifts, backpacks, and other goods can be served as well to the needy. Note there are separate resources available in the greater Duval County region.
