Salvation Army financial help, free food, and basic needs

When someone is facing hunger, no matter if it is year round or during the holidays, a free food pantry and/or soup kitchen is available. When qualified, either canned or perishable groceries may be given out.

Or if anyone from the region is going through a hardship, they can drop in as well for a meal. Either during or afterwards a Salvation Army of Jefferson County social workers will also provide comfort to the client in the form of counseling or other faith based services. Or the charity may even offer more practical type support, such as information on applying for SNAP food stamps, pass out some clothing, and offer other support.
