Find help in the Hillsborough County region. Services offered include shelter, transitional housing, and homeless prevention. Many agencies and non-profits, some that are funded by the federal government HUD organization, can assist families facing eviction and/or the currently homeless in the greater Tampa Bay Florida region.
Depending on the program and the application process, some units are for veterans, youth, or maybe single parents. Agencies may also focus their services on those residents that are currently homeless. Referrals to other private and government housing units are also offered. However there are a wide variety of resources available.
Not only will a client be able to potentially stay in a transitional apartment or home, but they can generally also access other services such as case management. Counselors from these numerous Hillsborough agencies want to ensure the family or individual can sustain the housing in the future, so a number of workshops and classes are offered in an effort to help someone maintain self-sufficiency.
