Food Assistance

Kids who typically receive free or discounted lunches during the school year can continue to receive free lunches during the summer. The federal governments U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Summer Food Service Program will provide healthy, free snacks and meals to children during the summer months. It is a federally funded assistance program that was created to help children receive the same high-quality nutritious meals during the summer months as they do during the school calendar year.

In Greene County, you can contact the Deliverance Family Worship Center ((870) 931-5453) to participate in the program, receive free meals, or learn more.

A second food assistance program that is offered is the seamless summer program. All children age 18 or younger can receive meals. And it is also available for all children, regardless of their household income status, and they may eat here for free.
