Find free health care clinics in Connecticut

Residents of Danbury, Bridgeport, and Norwalk Connecticut may be able to receive free health care and medical check ups at AmeriCares Free Clinics. These clinics help thousands of people every year. Last year, they assisted about 7,500 people between the three locations. This year the number helped will increase by almost 50% due to the weak economy. Call (203) 748-6188

They specialize in providing free, high quality health care to both underinsured and uninsured residents of Connecticut. The professional staff, which includes top notch volunteers as well as full time doctors and nurses, offer their services in a setting where all people are treated with respect and dignity. The primary objective of the AmeriCares Free Clinics is to help those people who are making a sincere effort to help both themselves and their families. They are not in the business of helping people who are not making the effort to get their lives back on track. They help those people who do not have the financial ability or resources to pay for medical care themselves.

What type of assistance do they offer?

The AmeriCares Free Health Care Clinics program will provide top of the line health care services, and all of it is free of charge, to qualified individuals and families who have a total household income of under 200% of the Federal Poverty Level. There are some other conditions, including you need to be a resident of the immediate area, provide income verification upon request, and also have a photo ID.

Across the nation almost ten million people are expected to visit health care clinics. The need for health care among Americans is great, especially in today’s challenging times, and clinics offer free, high quality care. With the weak job market many more people in both Connecticut as well as across the nation are losing their health and dental insurance and benefits on a daily basis.
