Atlanta and Fulton County Georgia food banks and pantries provide resources to the needy and low income. There are a few dozen primary food banks that serve the region.
The food banks, churches, pantries, and not for profit organizations listed below serve meals and/or provide free food to tens of thousands of Fulton County and Atlanta families every year. Some of the clients may need food on a one off basis to make it through a difficult period, or some individuals may need more ongoing assistance. The exact type of assistance provided by food banks and distribution center will vary, so an applicant will need to call or stop by a facility to learn more and get the specifics.
Many Atlanta are food distribution centers also partner with some of the leading national charity organizations, such as Feeding America, the Salvation Army, or Catholic Charities. Some the amount of assistance they can provide is extensive.
