Food banks and pantries in Dupage County offer free food and forms of assistance to people who need help. Residents of Chicago and Wheaton Illinois can also contact the food pantries in Dupage.
There are a few dozen main facilities that operate across the county and they are listed below. Not only can they provide families and individuals with food, perishable items, fruits and vegetables, but many centers can also offer other forms of other aid, such as clothing and some limited financial assistance for paying electric bills and rent. You will need to call the center closest to you in order to get the specifics on what programs are offered and how to get help.
Many of the Dupage food banks cover a limited area or certain neighborhoods of Chicago or the greater county. However most offer referrals, so call a center near you for information or alternate locations.
