Detroit and Wayne County clothing centers.

Non-profits, churches, and charities in Wayne County provide free clothes and other items to needy and low income families. If you do not qualify for the assistance from a clothing closet then you may be able to buy gently used goods from a thrift store. Those locations are open to the genenral public in Detroit and Wayne County.

Both the thrift stores and clothing closets depend heavily on donations and that will really determine what is available. Some of the programs are seasonal too and can include free Christmas assistance, back to school supplies, or maybe goods and clothing for newborns or babies.
