The society of Saint Vincent de Paul helps the poor, less fortunate, and low income in the Charlotte Michigan area. There is free food or meals from a pantry along with clothes, hygiene items, and clothes. The St. Vincent churches may, when possible, provide emergency financial help for bills, housing, heating costs or medications. There is also a home based service from volunteers, and they deliver hot meals to the homebound in Eaton County Michigan.

There are two churches (listed below) that are part of the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul is Eaton County. Canned Meals (tuna, ravioli, chili, hamburger helper, salmon, etc)
Canned Meats (tuna, chicken, spam)
Rice, both White and other types.
Pasta and tomato sauces.
Healthy Cereal – Breakfast Items
Baking goods: sugar, flour, cake mixes, cookie kits, etc.

 

 

 

 

There are all too many families (even “moderate income” ones) who know this situation of trying to feed the members of their home first hand can be a struggle. Together with the donations of restaurants, grocers, companies like Wal Mart, and individuals, Charlotte MI St. Vincent de Paul truly gives families in need some help.

Most of the groceries given throughout the year. There are also free food boxes during the Christmas as well as Thanksgiving holidays, as well as, throughout the summer months for kids. Or find other resources, including free backpack snack for students from Feeding America. Please give back to the pantry as well. Work with a local business, school, church or youth group to collect food for pantry.
