Find the dozens of free food banks and pantries that provide assistance, including free groceries or emergency baskets of food, to struggling families or individuals. The services offered in Catawba County are wide ranging, and include everything from Meals on Wheels to a free box of groceries, household cleaning supplies, and holiday meal baskets. While low income families often turn to these food pantries, anyone can get help. Each of them is run by a charity, churches, or even the government. The assistance available also varies at each center. Some only give free food. Others also have many other products for qualified struggling households. Pantries may also offer (on occasion):

-Clothing for winter or year round.
-Free Christmas meals, toys for kids, Thanksgiving turkeys, and other holiday support.
-Households supplies, including cleaning products, hygiene items, cleaning goods, and more.
-Catawba County homebound and senior citizens may apply for Meals on Wheels home deliveries too.

They offer a few assistance programs. One is Meals on Wheels, which is offered 4 days per week for income qualified seniors. They also give ensure and boos to the elderly, as well as process applications to public aid such as SNAPs, USDA lunches, and more.
