The federal government funded Head Start program is run by dozens of agencies across Boston Massachusetts. One agency that takes a leading role is Action for Boston Community Development, Inc. There are several different components to the program. They include the following.

In general the program is involved in providing crucial early childhood development, education, and health and dental care to low-income children in in qualified families. The solution deals with all aspects of an individual’s development, including emotional, social, cognitive, and physical growth. Almost 3,000 pre-kindergarten children throughout Boston receive help every year.
Another program in high demand is Early Head Start. This component can serve infants, pregnant women, your children, and toddlers, providing very young children in the community with free or low cost child care and helping meet their needs.
Some of the components offered by Head Start in the Boston region include.
The Good Guys program will provide resources and supports for fathers in the community who want more active participation in their children's lives.
A host of general assistance programs that are targeted at helping pregnant women, teen parents, and also low-income adults who are in need of professional development training services, health care, and/or educational assistance.
